with my expiernce those subs dont do well in ported ive went threw 4 so far. the best so far that ive seen them perform was in a sealed yet small box maybe .5cube per sub. but i was also loading them in my trunk facing up

ill just cut the coil out and use both as passives as ive been using for the blown one or get 2 new and build a dual 12" box for inside. and the thing about me buying a basket from a good blown sub is id need 2 everything i do audio wise has to be in pairs it just makes more sence to me that way idk ima look around maybe i can find some good series re that need a good recone

where can i even get a motor fix my speaker doesnt sell them and i wouldnt know the first thing about pairing parts hence why im asking but im still gona go threw with fixing my hifonics and getting a new coil and spider just need to get the specs from the one thats still alive and get a coil made

its a really low end model but i atleast wana get a new coil and spider and put it back together at the least its the same one that a guy on here has 10 of

so how should i seriosly go about doing this i mean ideally the sub should be perfect the way it is but how can i improve it

why would u need to reciever if ur not going to use it? u state that u wana have an amp running 4 speakers and another amp running a sub so why do u need a head unit have the rca's go to eather a source out ie computer dvd player w.e unless u just wana use the sterio for volume controll in wich case it would be easyer to just get a rca in line controll ebay that shit the easyest way for you to do this shit and not get hurt or harm anything else is to get a really good yellow top battery or anything that can hold a charge for a long time and a car charger that plugs into the wall sept turn the charger off at night when ur not using it. that is prolly ur best bet. uall also need to wire in a switch to turn the amps off at night so they dont drain ur battery ie from posotive of the battery to a switch then to both remotes

new topic becouse its differnt yet similar to my other one ok thing is i wana re build my hifonics 12s to make them way better becouse ones blown and the other ones on its way what can i do while keeping the stock motor "maybe unsure if i can even find another one to work" bet deff stock cone and basket. i was thinking of double stacked or more cones to make the sub stiffer idk how this would make anything better but none the less as well as double spider. what are the benifits if any in doing that. currently the sub needs a new coil the stock one was a duel 4 ohm 300w rms and 600 peak id like to make those numbers real but i need someone who can build a coil to what i need." i am unsure of specs currently i need to tare apart the sub that is working but do not want to do so untill i get something else to beat around with. but even if you dont wana read all that tell me some things that make a sub good aside from box tuning ect. just parts to make a good sub

they sound really good for what they cost those are the exact subs i have currently im wanting to rebuild them though so bad i cant wait for ur build log ima read that shit everyday where are u located cause when its done i wana hear it

well theres no way i can prove it currently but it did happen i had them loaded facing the top of the trunk not a hair trick really but enough to notice

i had 2 pyle 15s in very small sealed boxes in my 98 neon in the trunk with the seats folded down both getting 300 rms and i had very very very mild hair tricks like i had long hair at the time and it would raise "slightly" and lower with the notes just a thought

dont know if this belongs here or not but becouse of the ability to use a computer power supply to power low power amps would they also be able to have a battery in the mix to maybe be able to up the size of the amp or no?
