Yeah, because there isn't hundreds(maybe thousands) of threads claiming "DC Audio is the shit" or "DC FTW". It gets redundant and tiresome with all the nut hugging on the forum.
Now the "Need a Quote" threads are taking over.
The only people that haven't heard that "DC is the shit" have been on here for 2 days.

Same thing happened to one of my XL's. I stripped out a screw and when I was pulling it out of my wall, it snapped. Called Rusty and he said it would be fine, just to make sure I get a good/secure bite on the screw hole closest to the crack. I put JB weld on it, made sure all the screws were hitting both baffles, and it has been good ever since.

I chose the metal I thought looked better(copper). If I thought aluminum looked better I would have chose it. The conductivity isn't big enough factor to sway me.

Looks alone is good enough to me. I got 1/4" copper bar, bronze hardware( nuts, washers, and bolts) in 50 piece packs from McMaster-Carr's website. All for 45$.
Cleaned up the wiring, copper looks sexy, and not to mention the copper is a great conductor.
Well worth it to me.

Lol at 13 minute bump.
Lots of amplifier companies have amps in the 1500 wRMS range.
Also yes low voltage can cause clipping. My gain knobs clip indicator flashes if I am at full tilt and dip below 12.8ish to 12.5ish depending on the song.

Connecting the amp ground to the battery ground?
No there is nothing wrong with that, at all. Some people prefer that, anyways over a body/chassis ground.

You could run a ground from the alt to the front battery, but it's tough having a vehicle that's computer regulates alternator output.

Most, maybe all(not usre), don't ship. Go to hertzaudiovideo.com and look up a dealer or ask for dealer info.
I've seen the older models sold on eBay as well as some fakes, so be careful and research before buying.
Also raysmith.co.uk has hertz products. I have no idea whether it's safe/reliable.

Where did you order it from? From SoundSolutionsAudio it took about 3 or 4 weeks, Mechman got my D5100 to me in about a week.

no just because your wired at a higher impedance doesn't mean you can just crank the gain. You could be getting a clipped signal at 1 ohm or 4 ohms just with the gain at half or any other level.
Use an O-scope to see at what point you are clipping.

Set your gain with a 0 dB tone and the clip light won't come on or flicker at all on music.
Your worrying too much about it.

Don't clip the amp and there's no problems. It' puts out rated with a clean signal. If your competing and you want a little more out of it a soft clip(flickering of the red light) is fine.

I think it's some to do with your excitement, but mostly to do with the product.
