  1. Ill try and get some pics tommorrow. Not 100% sure where it broke, from what he was telling me sounded like the middle. He said that you can see some burn marks on the basket. I have some R.F 8g laying around here somewhere and he may have some monster 8g. Ill have him come by timmorrow when he gets off of work or il go down to the shop and check it out.
  2. A friend of mine bought some level 3 10's a couple of months ago and told me he was having some issues. He pulled out one of the subs and the lead has broke in half. He said it looked to short. I have my old cone here with the tingle leads still attachex. Could we just solder a extension piece to the lead?
  3. Well, I did that and the voltage started to drop immediatly. Are you looking for a quick drop in voltage when turning the knob ( slowly of course ). I ran a 80hz tone with the HPF set as high as it could go ( 1k ) and was still hearing the tone through the speakers.
  4. Hey Steve, when these drop ( i know aaugust 1st there avaible) is it possible to just come by the shop to get one and possibly a demo? Tried a couple of months ago to get a demo but i think you were busy.
  5. Is this the same for setting a hpf?
  6. I used a 8 5/16 hole when I cut out for the 6" aeros. Had to lightly tap it in, but nice and snug
  7. What kind of car is this going into?
  8. Which bass knob did it come with?
  9. You could talk to twistedchild420. I think he's a rep for crescendo now.
  10. Bslapsyomomma is selling his R.F T4K on here. Can't remember the price, but know its more then 600, like 7 something. Saw the birthsheet of like 4600+ at 1ohm. I.would look into that one but almost sure he want take 600. If not crescendo would be the way to go.
  11. I had callled AQ and asked if the 2200 could be run at .5, he said yes it will handle it find, but will void any warrenty. As long as elelctrical is good they said.
  12. What kind of car do you have? What is the max altenator output? If you only have like a 80 amp alt, then i would upgrade oyur alt and the battery. I was running about 1400rms off the old system with a stock battery and alt. Was good for a while until my battery started taking a shit. Replaced it with a xs3400 and was good.
  13. Sorry fellas, but now I need 48w 14h 21d inputed into the torres calculator. Computer still down and relized box would.be too big.
  14. It also has instruction manual to inform you how to use it, so I'm sure they'll tell you which to use.
  15. NDamn phone, of course ment dowels. So what yall think? Gonna go with two 6" aeros.
  16. Nah just going with double on the top and will do some 1" towel bracing. You guys this would be good for one 18 xl on a crescendo 3k?
  17. So my computer crashd the other day and lost everything. I had torres box calc on there with the measurements and can't remember what the cut sheets were. Can someone help me out and input my measurements and give me the cut sheets. Specs are 49w.23d.16.5h and double baffle using 3/4mdf. Don't worry about port, using aeros. Also let me know what the airspace is going to be with sub displacement of .25. Thanks
  18. Op, I have a 2006 Yukon (same as your 04 tahoe) and added a second 3400 under the hood behind the coolant reservoir. You could go to your local gm dealer and ask for a hd battery tray and hold down. It cost about 35 dollars and the 3400 fits perfect there. The only issue I had was that the grounds were touching the hood once closed. Just re-positioned and all.good.
  19. I called audioque about this and they said that they are ok that low, bit it will void your warrenty if.something were to go wrong. Need electronicsc
  20. By ear isn't really accurate imo. I would see if there is a.member on here close to you with a o-scope and see if they will help you out. You could still have some clean power on the amp availble.
  21. How did they set your gains? Did they adjust by ear, set to half and leave it, use a dmm, or did they use a o-scope. After some reading on here for a while, using a o-scope really is teh only real way to set the gains properly. First you need to see at what volume the h/u is clipping ( dirty signal ) at, the set the amplifer gains after that. This really is the only accurate way. Ive gone to shops here local to me and talked to them about amp gains and settings and some of them do it there own way, which is usally by ear.
  22. You could run something else other then the kicker. Sundown is very underrated, but a little expensive ( still good for the power though). The crescendo 3k's from what i read and heard do have the same board as the sundown saz3000. Crescendo no longer carries the 3k and have a new line of amps avaible now. You could find some 3k's used, thats how i got mine. You could p.m. some Dc audio dealers on here and they can get you some prices on some amps and are very helpful. They dont publicly display there prices.
  23. Call the dealer and.they may be able you out. Or did you try and Google.it?
