x2. I used USPS once and told myself never to use them again. My shipment was even from Cali to Arizona. They said it would take about 3-5 business days. I got it in 2 1/2 weeks. And of course, the tracking didn't work at all. Whatever though, they are soon to go out of business. But i am sorry this is all happening. I'm glad to hear that your going through the appropriate channels and getting it resolved. I hope everything works out!

I was looking at getting a viper alarm system for my car, and when i was going around their site looking at exactly what i wanted it lets me pick my car and such but this "interface module" stops at the 98's. And doesn't go to my 97 accord. So how much are these things? I have no idea honestly. I have never had to deal with alarm systems so far, till no obviously. Also, is it too hard to install a alarm system yourself? Or should i let someone that knows what they are doing do it for me? And lastly, are there any other good brands of alarm systems out there that are either better then Viper, or cheaper but still a very good alarm system? This is my next buy for my car, so if i could get some answers soon that would be awesome!

Sorry i just saw that someone responded to this today. I'm sorry for the blurry pictures, i hate it too! I took pictures and measurements. Everything is in inches, Here they are; This shows the size of the false floor This shows the height of the box In this picture I'm trying to show that these bolts help support the back end of the false floor. So either we would need to redo the support to the false floor or we need to make the box not as big. Honestly i would rather redo the support for the back Also, if we look at the second picture without the measurements, i know the false floor is kinda small but the back of the car is slanted so the box could also be slanted the same way.

I get that, but what is extra money going to? The KFC's themselves aren't worth much... I'm just assuming that it's putting out what it says it's putting out. I guess it wouldn't be thought because i have a stock alt in a honda civic. And most hondas (older ones) are underpowered with everything, or so i have heard. Also, i just say that it's pushing out 1800 watts because kenwood and other people talk about max Wattage. Ah got it. I'm not complaining about it or anything like that, i just didn't know how they rated it. You gotta understand that I'm learning new stuff everyday. I thought kenwood, MTX, Alpine, ect. Were the BEST car audio you could buy. But after watching a lot of Youtube videos and looking all over this forum i can see CLEARLY that it's not the case. I'm not trying to argue, i just need some help.

Wait so they rate their amps with 14 volts?? Why would anyone do that!? I have a kinetik HC1800 battery in the back and i have already done the Big 3. I mean it's getting more and more obvious that i need to upgrade my stock alt also, but whenever i ask about it, people like to shy away from the question. It's not like i LOVE kenwood. But kenwood is pretty cheap (yeah REALLY CHEAP). Now price isn't the biggest concern, yeah i don't have money to just through around but i make it work. So i would say i probably don't want to spend more then 150-200 dollars for one sub

Just what kind of sub's would be good to upgrade to. I want it to be loud but i also want it to sound good. Looking for High SPL numbers. And yeah i can deal with it not sounding super clean but it's better then my KFC's right now being basically overpowered

Right now i have 4 KFC-W3012's. I want to upgrade but probably to either 4 better 12's or maybe some 13's. Now i know there are MUCH better sub woofers out there, and tons at that. But i really don't know where i want to go. All i know is that i want to upgrade. Right now i have a KAC-9104D watt amp. I'm planning on getting another one and pushing all 4 with those two amps. Now obviously if i upgrade the subs i probably will have to upgrade the amps, which isn't that big of an issue. But i can tell already that my subs aren't going to sound good. I have 2 of my 12's in my car with the 1800 watt amp and it doesn't sound clean. Being that i'm pushing near the max watts instead of the RMS. Honestly i really do need help so any input at all would be awesome! Point me in a good direction!

Yeah on his build. What port is the best? I figure that each port is good at it's own thing but what are those ports good for? What are the differences?? Um here is the question, measurements for what...? The box its self?

I was looking at someone's build and he said he got it from pwk, what do you guys think about that?

With that, was it hard to install it yourself? And how sensitive should you make the viper alarm system? A friend has one and everytime i go by their car with my bass on it goes off. And it annoys so many people. But i don't want it to not be sensitive. I have the same problem as you. I go to school too and i'm really worried about someone breaking into my car and taking all of my car audio stuff. As of right now, i am saving up for a car alarm, looking at viper too.

Ah okay. But i still am really confused with box designs. What is up with all these funky ports?? I continue to realize that i know less and less about car audio haha...

Well honestly i know this sounds bad but i want my bass to do something! Like i want to be able to do a hair trick or something impressive that no one else can do! I want it to be loud but still have some quality to the bass. I want it to flex my car. I just want it to be really different and impressive i guess lol EDIT: Yeah and i guess i listen to bass a lot more then rock with my system. I rather be able to bump then to hit super clean on bass petal rock

Well along with what you gave me, is there anything else to help me out? I have no idea how to tune my box and even if i did i don't know what would be the best frequency. Any ideas with that?

Alright, i have been meaning to post this for awhile but... 1997 midnight purple honda accord I have 4 12'' kenwoods (yeah kenwoods, 2 of 4 installed) An amprack in the back with one 1800 kenwood amp and a 600 watt kenwood amp* (For my highs and mids, also not plugged in yet) A false floor instead of a backseat And a HC1800 watt battery. Now some of that doesn't matter but i thought i should explain all that i have before i ask for help. Now my idea with this car is to do what Steve did with his 98 civic but instead of 2 18's i would be using 4 12's. Right now i took the box that i got from a local audio store and that's what i have installed still. I copied how they made that box and i have my other (unfinished) box in the garage. The reason why i did this is because i didn't (and don't) know that much about building boxes. I don't understand exactly how to tune and to configure how big the box has to be. What i really want to do with my car is have a wall with one huge box and one port. Have more of a solid, one box, wall of subs. Now i really am asking for help out there. I don't trust my local audio store because i have heard that they pretty much take shortcuts in all that they do. I can provide any other information you need. Pictures, measurements, whatever. Just ask for it and i will respond as late as one day. But i will be checking up on this post everyday.

I have looked everywhere and i can't find any stereo contests here in Arizona. I live in Tempe, in the middle and a little bit south east. I would love to see how other people have built their cars, listen to them (in real life not just on youtube), and really talk to them. Can anyone help me?

I also want to add that i wanted to do one port for all 4 of the subwoofers but my dad thinks it would be better to make 2 boxes and then put a face plate over it. Just so we know for sure that the box works

@basshead Yeah i'm looking to do something like that, and like i said, firing towards the front seats @captianzplanetz So what kind of box do you think i should get? I have gone over the specs and the speaker box tuning is at 3.05ft3. And the best sound for the subwoofers (this is from kenwood) is at 3. That's for two sub-woofers anyways
