  1. Yeah I tried to use the search button but nothing came up...I came up with every post that had the word DC...Audio...and Amps in it lol I didnt feel like looking through all of them lol but yeah I cant wait to see the amps. Idk if I can wait that long
  2. Hey guys I was just wondering if DC still sells amps? I looked all over the website and couldnt find anything...I seen a video of mr. p's jeep and caught a glimpse of his 3000.1 and it was love at first sight... So yeah just wondering if they still sell them or if anyone on here has one they would like to get rid of? I also have a Rockford t1500-1bd id like to possibly trade? Just let me know =]
  3. Those m4's do 3500w at 11.9? Wowwwwww, Ill have to check that out, I want to stick with just 1 amp for now so i wanna make sure I get a amp that will push them good.
  4. Hmmm alright, I learned quite a bit just from this thread lol Is the reason for the regulator to protect it from frying anything in my electrical system im guessing?
  5. Alright so I did a little google search about it and what I can tell is it IS internally regulated in the power train control module (computer) So I would most likely have to get a aftermarket regulator to overwrite the one in my computer? Basically... lol
  6. Ahhhhhh okay...now I know what you saying...hmmm im not sure about my jeep, ill see what I can find out. Thanks for the info! Ill let ya kno!
  7. That I do not know...im going to hook a multimeter to it tonight to see what my normal charge is... cause its hard to tell exactly from my dash. I ordered a digital read-out volt meter it hasnt arrived yet. How could I find out of its regulated by my computer? I guess ill google it
  8. Do you think a 250-300 amp alt and 3 batteries (most likely the kinetik 1800's) would be pretty sufficient for those amps?
  9. Alright...well before anyone says it...yes I am a Noob... but I have good knowledge about car audio im just looking for some more knowledge to step it to the next level...anyway... Im looking into the AQ2200D amps... it says it is tested at 14.4 volts at does 2200 watts at 1 ohm at that voltage...That I understand...but I know my stock charging system wont go near 14.4v (Im going to be upgrading soon) so how much will that effect the wattage coming out of the amp? And will that hurt the amp if it isnt getting around or near 14.4 volts?
  10. Ahhh okay yeah Ive heard of DD... and those AQ amps were at the top of my list they seem very good for the price...I just hope It wont hurt them if I drop alot below 14.4 which I KNOW I will...I need to test my stock stuff tonight and see what its meters at idle and rev'd up
  11. Sweet...well if you know dom pretty well and stuff could you hit him up for me? My vehicle is a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with the 4.0L Inline 6 motor, id really appreciate if you could get ahold of him for me...and yeah I like the xs power batts. better then kinetik but I can get the kinetik's alot cheaper than the xs...so idk...and what exactly are the m4s? Ive never heard of those.
  12. Knew it was the bulbs lol yeah they were prolly old bulbs and the subs prolly rattled them loose. Easy fix =]
  13. Im 98% sure its the bulbs...all you can do is try out some new bulbs...Im not sure but I dont think a set would be more then like $5-$10
  14. Yeah ive emailed them and I called twice yesterday...Ill just have to be patient for a while lol any idea on what kind of numbers you are hitting with your current set up? what kind of vehicle is it in?
  15. Haha yeah, one of my biggest concerns about finding amps right now is because I cant find a alt for my jeep...stock is like 120 amps I think and a 250 amp alt from dc is supperrrrrr expensive...so idk what im going to do yet, but those amps seem like a pretty awesome product
  16. Hell ya lol thats awesome, how do you like those AQ amps? I looked those up them seem pretty good, and they arent super expensive ether
  17. Do the running lights work?...Is it just when you step on the brake that they dont light up? If its that them im guessing 95% its the bulb, the bulb would look like its good but most likely one of the filaments in the bulb could be fried
  18. Right now the power is the only issue...Im having trouble getting ahold of iraggi for my alt...and Ive tried mechman and he doesnt have one to fit my jeep...dc power doesnt ether... but my plan is to have a 300amp alt, with prolly 2 kinetik 1800's in the back and a 2000 in the front, with all 1/0 gauge... I havent decided on a amp(s) yet...I also thought about doing just level 4's instead of the xl's cause I dont know how much my alternator is going to be and im on a tight budget...but if I do end up just getting the level 4's im thinking ether a Powerbass 5000 or something close to it, i need to research some amps...any suggestions?
  19. What are the measurements for the back of your truck, find out the maximum size your box could be with the seats still up like you said, then you can figure out the volume of the box and whether or not the subs will have enough air flow...Im not to sure about the 15"s but im almost positive that the 12's would work out. So yeah figure out how much room you are working with and let us know good sir. =]
  20. Yeah im hoping so, my goal is high 140's maybe 150 with this set up, I still need to figure out the port size and stuff prolly tonight, ill prolly post my dimensions for everything on here tonight...hopefully someone tells me yay or nay lol
  21. Bump* Also I forgot to say that the 17.8 is what I have to work with...that is the max size I can do the box and still have it the way I want it to fit...If im not mistaken the box should be like 12-13 cubic feet for 2 18" XL's.
  22. Hey everyone im currently in the process of designing a box for 2 18" XL's and I was wondering if someone could help me out... Its going to be a "wall" in my jeep, not a permanent wall but its going to have trim panels around it to give it the look of a wall...anywho I did the dimensions on it today and it came out to... 40" Wide, 35" Tall and 29" Deep...that right there comes out to 17.8 Cubic Feet...Im planning on doing a port on the box and I want it tuned around 33-35hz... Im pretty much at a stand still right now and I figured id ask some people that know what the DC subs need. So yeah Id really appreciate any help I could get. Thanks again, Rick
  23. Thank you, that is that answer I was looking for, something with some insightful information. My friend has a o-scope I can use to set my gains on that amp so I dont set the amp to where it clips... I was just wondering and hoping the sub would sound okay and not be harmed by underpowering it (which I now you cant harm it unless its getting a "dirty" signal from the amp) It should sound pretty decent I think.
  24. Yeah im aware that the amps push the subs, but I dont want to under-power the sub and possibly mess it up
