  9. Okay guys, so heres some pics of the car, amp and screen... i had to re order my subs since my credit card didn't work, so ill put pics up once they arrive. 5% tint all around, tinted taillights deck- Alpine iva-d106 subs- (5)re audio SEX 10" d4 amps- (1) alpine mrp-m2000 (1) alpine mrp-m500 wiring - Stinger 0 gauge
  10. subs will be in on friday, going to carpet the box once they get here and i cut the holes out.
  11. Hey so i finally made the upgrade on my subs since i put the car away for winter. Im upgrading to 5 10" D4 re SEX sub woofers, and i am going to be running 2500 watts, my current amp (Alpine mrp-m2000) as well as a alpine mrp-m500... i just ordered the subs, so hopefully i will get them this weekend and finish the install. i have already built the box, just need to cut the baffle boards holes as i am going to carpet the box. I took a lot of advice from my other box builds and have made same MAJOR improvements. I will be purchasing a battery, but that will happen more near Christmas time. the box is tuned at 34.5 hz, and its 6.26 cubes. with a square port.purt is trunk firing and plexi is on the side facing my interior
  12. yep they go hard for the price... and at least now when i get new woofers i have a half decent amp to power them with.
  13. i fixed the electrical issue, my power wire was loose from the battery, so it was only getting partial power. cap is steady at 12 -12.5 volts.
  14. i used WAYYYYY less screws to put things into proportion... i had one every 1/2 inch on the old one and this one was one every 2-3 inches... its just over 4.1 cubes but with the subs it comes out to just above four.as far as bracing, i will keep that in mind for my next one, once again im only 18 and the only way im going to learn is from experience, Ive never worked in a car audio shop or anything.... mind you its not like half of them even know what they are talking about.
  15. built a new box, figured out my electrical issues as well... just a loose connection at the battery, its going strong now. lemme know your opinions on the new box. tuned @ 38 hzyes construction grade may be a little excessive, but better safe than sorry.
  16. no leaks siliconed them as i put them in and hole where hard to ge tthe wires through to begin with (tight)
  17. i did pre drill.. but yeah next box i will use less screws... best way of learning is from experience and what others say about it.
  18. IH8punkrock... the video is before i took the box out and painted it, i sound deadened my trunk... forgot to put pics up but will soon.
  19. cap is only temporary till i get my new alternator and new battery/batteries. and they sound good... and i only used so many screws because i had tried to make a box but it fell apart so i put more screws in rather have to many than too few, especially since its in such a small place where i would have little access to do box repair. plus im only 18 and its the second box I've ever built. Video (UNEDITED)
  20. here are more pictures screen Amp I also tinted my tail lights, and my windows, 5% all around.

  22. hey Steve, I'm a new member on SMD. Just got a quick question, what kind of flip out(single din) touch screen would you recommend, I cant fit a double in my car so a single's the best i can do. Any advice would be appreciated! Also what 2000 watt amp would you recommend. I'm running two pioneer champion series pro 12's off a kicker zx1000.1 and i know they want more power. thanks!
