Which xs battery would be the right size as a direct replacement for under the hood of a 04 ford explorer?

Apparently my 2 out of 3 of my hc's are bad..after having to jump my truck this morning i decided to pull each battery out..2 of them were below 11v and the other one was at 12.8v..charged them and the ones that were low were discharging very quickly..within 20 minutes they went from 12.9 down to 11.8. So what are some reccomendations on new batteries? Not looking for overkill right now just something that will allow me to bump and keep my voltage above 12.5-13v..Running a mechman 270 amp alt, YT under the hood..amp is a 40.1 wired at 1/2 ohm

so i borrowed This charger from my bro for the time being. And was wondering if the setting should be on AGM for my Optima YT? I wanna charge all the batts together but not sure what setting to put it on.

with these smart/intelli chargers, i noticed meade hooked his straight to his front battery because he's running all the same batts. In my case i'm running a optima YT up front and kinetik 2400's in the back, should i charge the front and the backs separately or would it be fine to charge them all together?

May I ask why?I don't know the whole scientific explanation. I just know that its bad to charge AGMs (dry cell batteries) with those chargers that are designed for wet cell batts There site says it charges AGM batteries..if this is the one your referring too.. CLICK

I was looking around at walmart and came across a few inexpensive battery chargers that said they are fully automatic and had "float mode" but the only downfall is they were only like 6 amp or something. Has anyone had any experience with these? Would save me over 100.00 bucks..

Thats the thing, they weren't loose at all because i was thinking the same thing. Do you think that may of been the problem with what i had going on?

So i tried my old hu hooked to it and it still did it. Still wasn't convinced it was the amp. so i looked under the hood at the fuse. The middle part of the fuse looked fine so i knew the fuse wasn't blown, but one side of the fuse holder was like melted to the ring terminal. So i took my volt meter and the side closes to the battery was reading 12.8v and the other side was reading 12.00v not that it's a huge difference. Also noticed the burnt side of it the fuse, the ring terminal was VERY hot, and the other side was cool. So i'm gonna change out the fuse and holder tomorrow and see. But does anyone think this would have an impact on what i'm experiencing? I mean, the fuse and holder needs to be replaced regardless. I'm hoping thats all it is, like maybe the fuse being f'd up, the power wasn't able to transfer through like it should, if that makes sense.

I'll have to check that out man thanks! I'm sure it's not low voltage as it never falls below 12.8v so i can probably rule that out. but i will add in that today on my way home as i was turning up the remote gain control for the amp, it would do it until i let go of the gain control. So i'm thinking the issue may be with the amp, but i'm going to try the ipod first.

guess i'm the only one to ever have this issue?

anyone else with any input? I switched out the rca's..and the subs seem to be perfectly fine..could it be the hu? It's a pioneer avh3200

A guy on another forum said the rca's may be the problem? I'm gonna replace them and see what happens

This just started today..If i set my volume at high levels before the bass starts hitting everything is fine. But if i'm at like volume 10 for example while bumpin and start turning the volume up, it almost sounds like the subs pulsate a little then the amp goes into protect. Anyone ever heard of this before? Like i said everything was fine until today..

So long story short, there's been some shady stuff going on lately around the neighborhood. And seeing as how me and the g/f work the better part of the day, this would put me a little bit at ease.. I'm looking for just a 2 cam set up. Preferably wireless for ease of installation, One cam over the front and one over the back door. I have a small back yard and the garage is right there too so i think 1 back there will suffice. I was looking at the ones at radioshack but didn't wanna rush into anything before getting suggestions first. Not really looking to spend a fortune, something <$400.00 if possible. Maybe something i can hook to my computer to record on there, as i know dvr setups are a little more expensive. I'm open for suggestions. thanks

that's what i was planning on doing, but i'm new to the whole lawn care thing lol didn't know when the time was right with the weather. it's up to being about 65 on average and about 40 at night. I'm trying to get a head start. the guy behind me get's his treated by tru green and every day i just envy his lawn lol

Ok well the house we got belonged to my "step" mother in law she owned it for 10 years or so..i saw pictures of it right before she had the new house built and the lawn and landscaping looked incredible..well we moved in to it in november, and after it sitting for 2 years the lawn now looks like ass. there's a 20 foot by 5 foot dirt patch along the fence where a flower garden use to be, where i'd like to plant grass. The lawn basically in a nut shell sucks ass now lol. Anyone have any tips on getting it back up to par? I'm in ohio, and it's just now starting to warm back up so i'm ready to get this eyesore fixed. It's our first house and would really like to get the lawn lookin good.

Finally got around to getting my NS's reconed, also first time they've been installed in my new box. Night and day difference! I think my old box was a hair over 8 cubes with a slot tuned to 39hz..new box is right at 7 cubes with 3 6" aeros tuned around 39hz. Not only does it sound WAY louder but it moves A TON more air then previously..i'm very impressed and it was worth the wait lol..my best score with old box was a 148.4 @ 41hz sealed up on the dash..i'm confident i'm up over a 150 now but only the mic will tell..couple weeks until showtime! Here is a pic of new box before ports and subs were installed, i'll get some finished pics up sunday

i agree the 4 seater would be slick as hell, but then again so would what you have going on if/when you pull it off, either way i'm subscribed!
