  1. Go with BDS for the lift. As others have stated the lifetime warranty is awesome. The added benefit of the BDS lift is the ride quality. I've installed the 6" on several F150s and other half ton trucks and everytime I'm amazed that the ride quality is the same or better than stock. You can run 35" tire easily an a 37" with the right width an backspacing on the wheel.
  2. Can you give me the info on where I need to send it to. Thanks!
  3. Ok so I put it in my buddys truck and it's going into protection again. My buddys truck has a RF 2500 in it. I checked all his wiring and it has 14v at the front battery and tha same at the amp.
  4. Thanks man, I totally forgot about them, we've sent amps to them before. I'm gonna check with SSA on seein if I can get it warrantied, I bought it last april so there should still be a warranty on it. I think db-r charges only $100 to fix it anyways so it's not bad.
  5. Okay so now the amp went into protection. I have checked everything reccomended by yall to check and I replaced my batteries and alternator. I put another amp in and it doesn't have any problems. I think there's something wrong with the amp itself. Who do I need to get in contact with to get it repaired or warrantied? Thanks
  6. Wouldn't tha protection light come on though? I took the woofers back out to return them and even with no load on the amp the light will come on like the amp is on then it'll go off like it lost power. And it has power to it but it seems low according to what I've read. Oh and the new IDQs have a plastic basket and when I took mine back out 1 of them was seperated from the top, the plastic cracked away from the top ring.
  7. Haven't checked that yet. I'm at the fire station today so I'll hafta wait and check it monday.
  8. Yes I know I sound dumb and should know alot more but all I have to go on is how I've been taught so far, that's why I came on her to learn. I haven't before cuz of all the name calling that happens when you ask "stupid" questions. I ran the ground threw the floor to the frame on both my amps and the amp is getting between 10.4-11.2v at idle. Tha highs amp is getting tha same voltage but works fine, doesn't shut off. The 1500 is still shutting off. Do yall think I need an upgraded alternator an batteries? and if so what size alt and batteries? The V at the front batteries is 12 Thanks.
  9. That'll work, I'll check it here shortly and get back to you. I have the ground soldered the floor of the truck on bare metal. Thanks Soldered to the floor? I hope that was a mistype lol... It's got a ring terminal clamped an soldered to it an it's screwed to the floor.....Damn fat fingers and crappy Iphone
  10. That'll work, I'll check it here shortly and get back to you. I have the ground soldered the floor of the truck on bare metal. Thanks
  11. Found your problem... That's with the truck on correct? Yep, if you idle it up to bout 1000rpm it goes up to 14-14.4V. The truck is an 08 dodge diesel.
  12. So what is it spost to read? I've put a volt meter on it and it's getting between 11.2 an 12.4 to it with the truck idleing.
  13. I ran 0ga power/ground to it with a 200 ANL and new remote turn on and it's stil shuttin off. Sometimes it'll stay on for awhile and other times it shuts off quick. Not going into protection and not getting hot, WTF?!?!?!
  14. I probly should split em up but I had 0ga run to a fuse block then two 4ga run back to tha amps, I've done this before but it was on small amps. I'll seperate em. Do you think I need to run larger ga to the SA than the 4ga I got on it now?
