  1. I'm looking to get a nice computer since im done with high school now.

i dont know where to start i just need it to be FAST and well priced. games would be nice to play on it so a big graphics card would be good and a big drive for lots of movies (purchased ones of course ;) )

also would like for it to come with a monitor and possibly be compatible with 2 monitors (i have a spare im not using i might as well somehow put it to use)

i would like a combo deal with everything BUT the speakers ive already got some nice ones i plan on using (tower, moniter, keyboard, mouse.)

  2. I currently have a AQ hdc3 and a ED 9.1 powering it in a box built to spec (2.5 cubic. 38hz)

I'm looking to get MORE bass though, this isn't enough. I want it to be pretty loud, not crazy like 4 15's or anything, i just want more "boom"

only problem is, is that i am not changing the amp (my car can't handle any more power), and its going in a honda civic so a big box is not possible. i am willing to give up trunk space, but not the whole trunk or a wall or anything crazy.

    so should I go with:

    2 12's (600+ RMS a piece)

    2 10's (600+ RMS a piece)

    1 15 (1200+ RMS)

    2 15's (600 + RMS a piece)

which subs/box should i get? I would really prefer a nice Sonic electronix box or even a built package like the 2 L7 10" with a prefab box from kicker. i know prefabs aren't good, but the ones im looking at have good cubic feet, ported, 3/4 MDF not cheap wood, and seem to be good quality overall.

so reccomend me any subs to fit the RMS ratings and space.

    I was thinking of:

    2 JL 15's

    or 2 L7 10"

let me know, i just want to be as loud as possible in my trunk car, while not getting a bigger amp.

also, my budget is around 500 for all give or take.

  3. yea but i have a $50 coupon so basically a new box is only $50...and its built at what alpine recomends (3.9 cubic, alpine recomneds 2.0 max per sub) AND its ported....its a prefab but not like the typical cheap ones its a good one with 3/4 MDF. (not the typical 1/2" cheapo wood not even ported pussy shit)

i am definetly not building my own box i dont have the tools/skills necessary...

  4. i know this has probably been asked 1000 times, but ima try and not be a noob about it and at least give all the details of the system.

    which setups louder ?

    1) 12" AQ HDC3 in 2.5 cubic box ported tuned at 38 Hz, powered by ED nine.1 amp

    OR

    2) 2 Alpine type R's 12" in a 3.9 cubic ported prefab box (still very nice/large though with 3/4 MDF ect), powered by ED nine.1

Considering i have the electrical to support both setups, and its going into a sedan, which one should hit harder?

i was told the alpines will because of more cone area, but i was also told the AQ makes up for lack of cone area by having a big Xmax.

  5. i have had both subs, and for a 8" the logitech gets somewhat loud, and has great SQ. 8-10" subs are really focused on SQ (usually), while bigger subs 12-15" are based more for SPL.

I would get a 10" sub like an Infinity or if you have a big budget get a JL W6 for SQ 10" as well.

I'm not saying that 12" subs can't have good SQ, but for the most part a 12" type R is a SPL sub (unless you purposely set it up for SQ like in a sealed box or something)
