No idea about the rest of the details. I'm pretty new to the audio game.
this isnt a bad thing, but shops need to make money. i find the price to be a little steep but if you dont know how to make a box you really are limited in the options available. if you feel frisky, try making it on your own. it can seem very daunting at first, but you could start by making smaller test boxes to get the hang of it and then tackle your task.
in my opinion, if you cant make one your only choice is to pay someone else to do so too. you might check some other local forums or the auto services on craiglist to find maybe someone else who could make one for cheaper.

I live in arizona and what she said about she doesn't know what an illegal person looks like but they wil train officers to know what to look for. How is that not looking into race or what a person looks like.
you confuse yourself, and all too easily it seems.
if she was going to base it upon race, she would have said illegals look brown with huge sumbraros, ponchos, yelling while holding a taco. stating she doesnt know what they look like means illegal immigrants DO not have a specific look about them that would show them to be illegal. and EVEN if they judged someone on the way they racially look, so what? if you look EXTRA immigrantish and they ask you for proof of citizenship how hard is it to show 2 pieces of id? a lot of financial instutions ask for 2 pieces of id nowadays.
i think everyone is getting butthurt over nothing. its about time something is done to battle illegal immigrants and the burden they place upon taxpaying americans. i also find it funny a lot of hispanics are upset when immigrants come from ALL over the world.
mind you my family immigrated here from the south pacific and i still agree with the bill

this is a load of bull and im not sure if this forum is the place to take up political discussions...
but i think america has every right. and there a plethora of rules and regulations in place currently to help prevent racial profiling. as if racial profiling wasnt already happening in our country. not to mention this isnt that difficult to cope with. boom, heres my state id and ssn card. problem solved.
and just so you know, both of my parents were nationalized and i am samoan. so you cant assume that only white people voted for this bill. i live in alaska, but also have a home in tempe where my brother is finishing school.

I have to agree, If you're a dealer wouldn't you have a birth sheet on your amps? Not tryin to sound like a dick but it seams logical....
On another note i have seen the older t1 15s take around 2k constantly without problems. I don't know if id recommend it....But its been done lol
let alone know it? lol, NOT trying to be a dick like superdave says, but man...you should know your products, especially if youre supposed to sell them.
i have seen the t1s take a lot of power but they didnt last. there is currently a guy here i know running 4 of the t1 15"s on a t4000. so at the minimum theyre seeing 1000watts each and they do just fine.

In my 97 4 door blazer what kinda numbers should I expect? What are the RF 2500.1's REALLY putting out @ 1 ohms RMS? The subs are rated at 600 RMS Each and I know I'll easily have that. What can the T115D2's actually handle? I'm an authorized RF dealer and get the equipment CHEAP so im not looking for idea's on other subs or amps...
maybe im just assuming here, but if youre an authorized RF dealer, wouldnt it be easier for you to find out that information from RF?
the amps always do a little more than theyre rated. i have a lot of the RF amps. the two t2500s i have do more than 2500. ones birth sheet reads 2649 and the other over 3000.

i understand your point, but they are a lot of ways of stabilizing voltage.
but i said if youre not doing much. a smaller system will do just fine on this. but thats why i said if hes serious about putting any power down this is only half assing it. the people who had me install this for their cars were only pushing 800watts and they just wanted to do something to make a more stable electrical system. this has its uses obviously...but its not the only way or best way to go.
just thought id share my experience with this specific product

i have installed these before for people who wouldnt listen. these alternators do exactly what theyre supposed to do. if youre only looking to make a more stable and efficient electrical system and youre not pushing a lot, this is definitely an ok buy.
but if youre serious about putting some power down, youre paying money to only halfass it with this product and im pretty sure oreillys/schucks has the exact same thing in stock.

The engine in my Tahoe has been going downhill for the last year, and I figure it would be easier to rebuild the engine and transmission than to try and sell it for something new. Has anyone here taken there GenIII LM7 and turned it into an LS1?
i have, not for my personal truck but for another silverado. the hardest part is going to be the wiring. engine mounts were a little difficult for me but now you can find a lot of already made for your application. youll also need to look up which year ls1 you plan on swapping because they changed year to year. let me see if i can find the link to a guy who provided a lot of help when doing this build..

it takes a LOT of liquor to get me drunk. let alone tipsy. i have drunk 2 bottles of skyy straight in an hour and was barely tipsy. skyy is my drink of choice, and i have been known to down bottles of SOCO likle water. im not a sipper, i chug. and i never touch beer. the smell is enough to turn me off. sad to say, my liver works overtime and ive only been drunk twice in my drinking life.

i always reccomend just doing it safer and smarter for the long run. i would do both. your future plans would upgrade the system so why not just make sure its done when the time comes? alternator first then the batteries can come second when you knwo exactly what youre going to push.

i love it when people say to eff off for someones price.
even when someone is ripping off someone, youre stuck with 2 choices. either you paintt he car yourself or pay someone else to do it.
theres a couple things to look into when doing paint jobs. are they doing the inside doorjams? engine bay? trim? it can be a lot of work to sand down, fix the body, primer, then paint. i never charge a lot, id charge about $1300 for an explorer if the body wasnt in too bad of shape. but ive charged up to $4000. of course that was a truck RIDDLED with dents and whatnot and they wanted twotone candy paint.
bottom line, in my opinion i dont think $1600 is expensive. either you do it yourself or you pay someone else to do it. kind of hard to complain about how much something costs if you dont knwo how to do it
