  1. thanks for the suggestion but i was wanting to use non mainstream equipment
  2. ok look guys i know 4 or 8 speakers per door is wayyy overkill BUT it is a attention grabber and interest sparker. When you can clearly hear somebody turn the corner wayyy down the street then shake your house or spot when they pull up of course your going to be like dam whats in there? Then i bust out the business cards. just like a paint job people see it and ask questions i sent at least 3 people to my paint guy in the 2 weeks i was home for leave so curiosity sells. i even had to make time to build a box for a guy that stopped me at mynyards and dropped out 350 on the spot for a box for his 4 12s: he was pleased thanks to a little effort from members @ SSA, ROE, CA, and DYMA i can build pretty bad ass boxes. you guys harp on searching but its hard to search for something when everybody uses the acronym of the dam brand or dont respond to PMS. it would be nice for someone else to help a guy out having said that im going with 4 speakers glassed in each door brand still unsure of at the time. i guess ile just use this thread as a idea notepad.
  3. Thanks i will look into those. i didnt know image dynamics was still around lol im looking into some peerless HDC's http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-1084 with 8 of these per door receiving an amazing 40watts each lol
  4. mainly wow factor since im counting on this tahoe to bring the clients to me.i just dont know if it would sound that good with the power broken down that far
  5. thanks for the replies guys, i would like to keep all of what ever sets i get under 1 grand any thoughts on the numbers of drivers?
  6. Thanks for reading. I need options on good 6.5 speakers to run in a active system. I really liked the pound of the pioneer PRS 720 but thats alot of money to pay for a component set im not going to use all of. i would like to put two, four, or eight 6.5s in each front door (either option would have 2 or 4 tweeters powered by the decks speaker outputs). they will be powered by a sax 100.4 so i would have 160w x 4 @ 2ohms 100w x 4 @ 4ohms or 320w x 2 @ 4ohms (bridged) given that most 6.5s are 4ohms i could wire four 6.5s together and make 4ohms giving them 25watts a speaker eight 6.5s together and make 2 ohms 20 watts a speaker two 6.5s per channel @ 2ohms for 80watts a speaker or four 6.5s bridged to 4ohms for 80watts a speaker I feel i need so many 6.5s because i have two 18" BTLS powered by a SAZ-3500 in a 15cft box tuned to 30hz in my Tahoe.
