If you like the sub? Recone it psi has upgrades so you could make it better than before. That's if they have the parts. Fixmyspeaker.com. check and see. Your probly looking at 120 or more to recone it. If you do it your self.

Or you can use a smaller gauge wire on it. The sub I fixed it was just right to fit in the holes were the terminal was. Just what ever works the best for that sub. Make sure you leave slack for the subs movement if you do run direct connect wires.

If its broke in the middle I don't think that would do any good. If you solder a lead on it in the middle it would flap an make noise or break again. If its in the middle its not gonna be right no matter what you do. Could recone it. But I would try the repair first for sure. You might get lucky.

Were did it break at? The terminal or the cone? Or in the middle? I got a re sx 18 that I had issues with it coming unsoldered from the terminal, so I removed the terminals and soldered in 8gauge speaker wires. Worked perfect. But it depends were your broke if this would work on yours. Or does it allready have 8gauge wires?? Or terminals.

Aluminium coils cool faster than the copper coils. I've had both and couldn't tell by ear any difference

And 300 shipped ? Im not sure on the shipping cost for a 103 pound sub. But I would think it would be well over 100 bucks. So you would have to find one who's just nearly giving it away. To get it for that price shipped. But you might get lucky tho. I know I do some times. Lol

The box I got now is probly around 6 cubes tuned to around 35 . Sound good but I want to kill shit with the lows. I've got awsome high an mid bass but the lows are not were it should be for my taste

I got this sub on a 2006 hifonics brutis 25th anniversary 2000 running it @.75 ohm. And its pushing the shit out of it. Barley gets warm even after beating full tilt for 10 15 min . Only thing is I don't like the box tuned to high for me, and not big enough.

Im only putting 2000rms on it. And its more than enough for my needs. So hopfully I wont have any issues with that. Thanks for the info cause I've never herd that before. I was never a kicker fan. But these solo x is no joke in my opinion. My poor trucks taking one hell of a beating! Making some videos of major flex! It will be on you tube soon!

I got the sub in my truck now and I must say that this is one bad ass sub. Blows my old audioque 18 away. Solo x 18 is a monster!

Well I figured we have this nice forum for our car audio needs! No offence but smd has alot to offer us on info for specs and other questions. Its just seems to make better sence to come here over google.

That's what I was planning on doing. Probly a wall. But it will be a few months before I can start it. So I will just flip it around an run this box for now if its not gonna mess up the sub. Thanks for the info guys

Audioque has good subs
