07 impala, great trunk space for one. you say 3 or 4 aq 1200's for just this one sub?
hes telling you if you go with aq 1200 ,it will push 3 or 4 subs ,cause that amp will smoke one of those subs by its self.

audiosavings.com is awsome on there prices and its nice to be able to talk to the owner too. i buy 90% of my stuff from them and never a problem with any thing i say go for it .
-
explains why im still an asshole after all these years
dawm, same here. grits you get in some deep ass shit . but very interesting though, got me thinking.
-
yea shes cute, but i like my girls a lil thick some times thicker than others.
-
try turning your gain down. and also check your ground for good contact
-
have you tryed fixmyspeaker.com
-
go for it . i got 8 12s and i am thinkin about walling it in all the way
-
Just take it to an electronics repair shop. It will cost you about $65 for a repair. If it's not major. Hopefully it will just be a little solder job.
i took it out and checked it and almost all the screws holding it together were loose as hell ive tightened all of thembut havent tryed it out yet. i think it was vibrated apart i hope thats all it is . i will let you know if it helped
-
It gives you feedback when you tap on it? If it is then its probably junk. Have any other amps to test?
yea and there fine no feed back . is there a place to send it to be repaired?
-
ive checked all my connections and rca cables and there fine but i can tapp on the top of it and its almost like tapping on a microphone? any body got a clue? could vibration have played a role in this. and no its not on the box . and does anyone know were to get em repaired?
-
o my bad audiobhan must be junk so no one cares to waste there time talking about it.
-
come on some one has had this happin
-
i have a 1200 audiobhan amp it dont get hot or smell burnt . but when i realy turn it up when the bass note hits its sounds fine but it will feed back and when i turn it down it delayed by about 3 seconds or more sounds like a long bass note any body got a clue of what could cause this ?

You can use wooden dowels or all thread which will use far less airspace.
all thead is a great idea i didnt think of that
-
you could double or triple layers of mdf over the hole box might help a little or build new one bigger to make up air space for bracing
-
put 2by4s inside for braceing and fiberglass resin all inside corners that should do it
-
i would not make em seperate i think would sound better in the same air space with one port and you can use box caculater at the top it will tell you what to do as far as port size
-
yea that sucks he was a wild actor one of my favorites i didnt know he was so dawm old, im gettin old man.
-
nice subs i bet its gonna be bad
-
So finally making some final decisions hopefully. In the poll I have listed what subs I am considering. My build will be one 15" with 3.5^ft tuned at 33hz for a daily beater with a AQ1200D. I've not had any experience with these subs in person so anyone who has I would love to hear your good or bad opinions on any. And let me know why you think I should go with the certain one. I just want to make sure what I end up with is reliable and can play full tilt for extended periods of time. I do want some SQ but I want as much SPL as I can get.
go with audioque.also the owner is more than willing to help you with any thing you need to know, i think his name is dj numbers on the web site

-wire the individual coils of one sub in series
-do this for all 8 subs
-now connect all subs in parallel
gives you a one ohm load
thanks for the info
-
no. most people on this forum have no concept of this idea
the amount of amperage required to feed an amp at that ohm load would be massive and require many large batteries for capacity. then on top of that you would need alts that could charge fast enough to keep up with the draw.
if your voltage so much as thinks about dropping the whole thing is fucked.
stick to one ohm
and i suggest you learn what series/parallel wiring is
like he said^
well thats what i am asking you guys if thats ok
-
someone correct me if im wrong. cant he do series/parallel and get 1 ohm?
i have them run parallel now on audiobhan1200dmono ugraded to 2200 and it does fine and dont run hot not even warm should i keep it hooked up or what? i dont want to burn up the amp
-
no
no? so there is not amp compatable .25 ohm
I've found a 18inch woofer, want your opinions.

i wouldnt run the audioque 1200 on that sub ,cause you would be throwing money away it will last maybe 10 mins. unless you dont turn it up, and then it might last a few hours at best just get a audioque 18 if you want to run that much power. and save your self some loot
