yea there was definitely something shorted out that happened to me one day and my positive battery post was touching the firewall throwing sparks i immediately upgraded my battery terminal to one that wasn't as close to the firewall

i have recently purchased a 220 amp alternator from mechman it took me a little while to install but i got it in and tested it today and i got 222amps at 2k rpms this thing works great and i would tell anyone that is looking for an alternator to go with mechman thanx for a great alternator
