    would to layers of really good sound deadener be good enough on the roof, I'm trying to avoid wood bracing. its an avalanche with a sunroof,and factory dvd player in the back.

      TWO layers would be ok in my opinion but maybe do 3. Avalanche/silverado roofs are horrible. But I don't see why 2 wouldn't work
