I thought 4k was realistically a year or two off from being mainstream. So the latest TV purchase was last april and I scored me an LG Hecto. Pretty pleased with it so far. The room light control wasnt an issue for the longest time but it seems lately that my screen washes out when the sun peers in the patio doors in the dining area...I have mirrors opposite that reflect off the screen at certain times of the day but I remedied that with heavier drapes.
