A guy used to live across the street from me who was deaf, he went deaf from something at work and he had 4 15 Orion's on some Orion amp 5000 not sure if it was peak or RMS but it was loud. Couple stinger batteries in an astro van. He could still hear just a bit but he always had that radio playing some bone crusher all I ever heard out of that van. You literally had to yell for him to even hear you standing next to him. His apartment complex called him in all the time cuz they thought him and his girl were fighting cuz he talked loud to hear try and hear himself lol. Cool ass dude one of the first to get me into bigger powered systems.

I had L7s and they stunk no matter what they never got hot but they stunk from when I got them and sold them.

If your worried about the bass knob you could always run a PAC LC1. I agree on not strapping them too.

Saw the video Steve posted on how to hook it up real time. Guess the only question now is will it show clipping from YouTube, Pandora, Sirius, etc. I don't play full tilt with any of it but Sirius loud. Thanks for the help

XS is better than optima but if your on a budget it'll work and for the second battery I did positive to positive and negative to negative and had it separately grounded too. Right now I just have them positive to positive and negative to negative with out the extra ground with no issues as well.

I've been buyin off iTunes a lot too but I got 3800+ songs so that's a lot of money to spend. But for Sirius, pandora, YouTube, and my iPod I think this meter will work well for me, if Ray could chime back in and explain how to set it up properly.

That's what I plan on doing. Is the -10 track and yea I know why they blew twice the first time a basket snapped. And the second time I'm not sure and the last time was too much power too big of box and playing below tuning on decaf with my amp tuned too -15. I just recone them all at the same time. I've always only blown one, then I just wall socket the other or cut it up working fine.

Perfect. And how do you set it up correctly? I'm still in my learning curve, but after 6 recones I kinda get frustrated lol. It will soon be 4 18 m1 lvl 5s and I don't wanna recone after recone just tryin to make this my most reliable set up.

So I listen to my phone through the iPod jack a lot and it's mostly pandora and a little of you tube but how safe is it playing that through my deck? They say YouTube vids have really bad quality so if I bought the vu meter that's coming out soon would that help me out ? I'm currently tuned to -15 on my sub amp with DD-1, I will be retuning to -10 or -5. So I guess I'm wondering if that meter will actually show real time clipping when I'm listening to YouTube or Pandora or my iPod with lots of decaf? Thanks

I heard on the radio today that 3 table spoons of honey works before u drink at all. I haven't tried it and don't plan on it either. But if someone tries it tonight I'd be curious to see if it works. I myself don't mind a hangover, as long as no throwing up is involved.

I dont fuse my AQ20 but my battery bank is less than 2 inches from the amp physically. My longest run is probably 24 to 30 inches tho. I bought all the fuses and fuse holder and was advised not to fuse since there so close together. I frequently check for rubbing tho and the wires are all ziptied. Would you guys reccomend fusing the wires?

I'd say definitely use the DD 1. I have heard so many different things about the clip light. Better safe then sorry.

I once changed an alternator and got rid of the noise I guess the regulatory went bad and was causing but that's one fix I've had. The other was relocated my bass knob control on my pac lc-1

I had a new style AQ3500.1 and I never dropped below 13s with a 145 amp alt and 2 stinger spp1200's and 4 runs of 1/0 at .5 ohm. I charged the batteries once every couple of weeks tho. I'd get another 1800 at least but I'd shoot for the 2400
