  1. I have already got a pretty good idea about what I am going to run or want to run, Right now my whole system is memphis audio except the flip out. I want to stick with them because I am impressed w/ their stuff. I would like to do 2 12" m3mojo's and a 4kw memphis amp in the downfiring ported box, but any input on something of another name brand comparable to these would be nice, or a hell yeah would also suffice. haha. -Steven-
  2. That is the exact advice I was lookin for kingsuv, Now if I compete w/o my backseat I know what class I would be running in, I'm not that short on cash, but Im not rollin in dough if you know what I mean. I just like my truck, a lot, and it means a lot to me, so using it would be cool as hell to me. I have plans for doing 2 huge 12' or 15's in a big-ass downfiring ported box on some big ass amps, I already have a killer front stage, but would upgrade to double what I have now. Would the 12's or 15's kill my clarion flip-out? Any input on what would sound best in this type of setup would be appreciated. -Steven-
  3. Oh Okay that is true, But I thought you couldn't get the dust cap on like the 9515's and that is why people in comps use them, and people that just want to be loud everyday without worry get like a 3512 or 15 w/ the dustcap? Or am i just being stupid again, ha. -Steven-
  4. come on guys help me out, I might cry if you don't :'( Just kidding, I just need a lil guidence. -Steven-
  5. what is wrong w/ not liking them if you cant get the carbon fiber dustcap? As far I know and understand the carbon fiber dustcap's purpose was to keep excursion down, and if you keep the excursion down when beatin the h*ll out of your woofers then it would be less stress on them. Right? I mean I am not saying that I don't like them becuase they dont have the carbon dustcap, because its looks, I am saying that it was a function that made DD better than some of the others. You catching what I am throwing out? -Steven-
  6. I want to compete next year and have all the hookup on equipment for the most part. You guys can give me any suggestions you want as far as equipment, I havn't decided on subs yet, so input is all good. Basically I want to run my existing truck it is an extended cab 3 door 1999 chevrolet silverado new body style, Can I run this and just lose the back seat? Or get a new vehicle? If so which vehicle? I think I remember reading in the rules of USACI (any event) that the subs had to be under the back seat, because that was considered the cargo area? Is this correct? If I am just stupid, could someone point me in the right direction, and kind of explain the rules of runing an extended cab truck? Ive got a crap load of room back there for some huge woofers, so I would like to run the extended cab. Thanks, -steven-
  7. Hey guys, I am fairly new to this site and this is my first post. I was just wondering how many of you guys are running memphis car audio stuff? I run pretty much everything by memphis in my daily driver, except the flip out by clarion and the box which i made. My competition setup is still in the works and i am still in the planning stages. What do you guys think of the 4kw memphis mojo amp? How about the Mojo 12" and 15" woofers? Do you guys have any suggestions on different stuff? I don't like Digital designs anymore because you cant get the carbon fiber dust cap anymore. And Elemental designs is out because I think they dont sound as nice as other stuff out there? Give me honest opinion about this. Thanks, -steven- ALSO: Don't think I was dissing on DD or ED, I just didnt like how they sounded in the set up I heard and that has a lasting impression on ya, you know? Anyways Peace
