  1. for reall I will hit you up, one of the guys I met is from tulsa or right outside of it. So I will def hit you up one day. Are you going to that big car show this weekend, in lawton, if so be looking for my car and a bunch of bagged trucks around it(the guys I am going w/ have bagged trucks). but hit me up if your are going. -steven-
  2. and does he ever get to come home, he wouldn't have ime to especially in a big rig. it took me 7 hours to drive 500 miles at about 80mph the whole trip
  3. nobody is complaining about driving, I enjoyed it but I also like having a little scenery too man. and you don't have to drive 1000 miles a day to be a truck driver, he just does that because he prolly gets paid by the mile so you can't really use that as an example.
  4. yeah they have regular tunes on the radio station, actually there is a good mix station once you get to w/in an hour of oklahoma city. I just put on the ipod and pressed shuffle play, so it would be random, also korn's greatest hits cd, my frank sinatra live cd's, and my johnny cash remakes cd's helped out. The johnny cash one is badass it has rusty cage, hurt, and other recent rock songs and stuff he did in his own style. So the trip wasn't bad w/ the tunes, plus at the gas stations I stopped at there always seemed to be a couple of hot chicks to talk to and oggle at. -steven-
  5. yeah for a little bit there was some pretty rock faces on the side of the road, but then nothing, haha, especially when I got on 44 and it turned into the turnpikes. -steven-
  6. haha, sometimes driving I would get a hill and get kind of excited. No but literally I could see for 3-4 miles sometimes when driving, it was a clear day so I could see everything. -Steven-
  7. thanks, like I said the first one I have did, plus it was kind of easy except getting around the rer air ducts. So hopefully I will be doing more of these, that means easy money. Easy money is always good money, haha. -steven-
  8. I am still up in oklahoma, been trying to find time to post this up. so here it is. My trip to oklahoma. after I left St.louis, it was nothing no civilization only a few scattered little towns, until I hit oklohoma city. I tryed to snap pics, but driving at 75+ and taking a pic doesn't mix to well, haha. here is my lil trip package that I can grab what I need while driving. my scenery for most of the trip some bigass house or something maybe a country club, all I know is I seen a few benz's, bmw's, and cadillac's around it, it was big and tight whatever it was though. and of course I had to take a picture of the first carl's jr. I have ever seen, haha. -steven-
  9. well it was scary, but I work on mine and they aren't cheap cars so I am kind of used to it, plus I got a steady hand so not to scary. Trust me it was hella heavy, it was crazy. -steven-
  10. got an avic-d3 the other day installed it, will post pics of the install when I finish the plexi for the dash and trim ring. more goodies and pictures coming this week also, told you it is going to be a drawn out process, but I got lots of stuff to do and then gotta make time to work on my grand prix. gator interior and suede planned for july or around there, just figured I would let you know that. It won't be as high dollar as chickens escalade but it will be classy. -Steven-
  11. It was a 15.1" directed electronics monitor with built in dvd player that was removable and could be used outside vehicle. The resolution was clear as heck on this thing. It was pretty scary cutting up a 45,000 dollar headliner, plus getting around the rear ac on this was a bitch. I thought it came out good though tell me what you guys think. I have also been busy putting in my new avic-d3 navi double din, yeah there is better out there but it looks almost stock, plus is easy to use. I might go w/ the z2 later but not for now. I will post up pics once I am finished making the plexi trim ring for it. tying into the wires under the dash wasn't to fun either, not much room to work w/ down there, plus my big azz was pretty uncomfortable for most of the install. Funny how such a big luxury suv has almost no room in it front or back. I guess that is why I favor the escalade over the navigator. sneak peak of my avic-d3, yeah I know they are overdone, but that is not the point. The point is to look stock but real good and classy also. they need to include at least backstrapping in these though, I mean there is no type of mounting harware that comes with it. -steven-
  12. oh well doesn't matter who I am talkin to now but I am sure you know who, I just thought yall were gonna start a "no they aren't, yes they are", fight for a second like some second graders. -Steven-
  13. whatever man quit actin like a child and arguing that way. They are type-r's,that is all that matters and the design really hasn't changed that much man other than the fancy grille and pointy cone. -Steven-
  14. yeah I am actually typin on my laptop right now just to get used to it since I will be gone for a lil while and have to use it as my primary one. man, this is gonna suck oh well at least I have a fast ass laptop to make up for the dial up I am goin to have to use while I am gone. -Steven-
  15. Yeah apple may rip on vista, but basically its only problem is being new so a lot of older software clashes w/ it and has slight problems. I love vista really and I am prolly gonna switch my personal computer out w/ a newer vista based computer and then also have the gaming computer that steve will prolly end up building for me but that won't be for a lil while, at least 4 months. -Steven-
  16. Intel core 2 t5500, and yes it is vista equiped, and yes vista is as bad as they say on permission pop-ups. Its all good though I like to be able to cancel opening a program I accidentally clicked. The reason why I didn't get a mac is because I would have to relearn everything that I know about the comp and its commands and stuff. It would be like I am 5th grade again. Plus there is only one person I know around here that actually knows anything about mac's other than how to turn them on, haha. I might eventually get a mac but my next comp, will be a steve meade built computer, we have alrady discussed it. -Steven-
  17. Got a new laptop and some goodies to go with along w/ a netgear wireless router to go w/ it. It aint the best they make but it also aint even close to the worst, I'd say it is the top of the line middle of the line notebooks. Hey I could of spent a lot more and not gotten any faster, just more features. It is a Toshiba Satellite A135 series. the accessories: a wireless mouse that is nothing fancy, and a 4 gig (wouldve got 8 gig but caudruple the price for 4 gig) zip drive, all unused space over 512 megs gets used as ramm which is really cool. Now for the wireless router, its nothing special either but it is my first one and has 6 channels you can use so that I can use my comp in my room, my new laptop, and the comp in my home office, plus the work laptop when I actually bring it home, plus more if I want to add some more but there is really no reason there is already 3 in the house haha. It is a netgear router which are supposed to be some of the price concious better ones. oh yeah it lights up and flashes blue led's which is hella cool. Nuthin fancy but it is enough to get the job done, tell me what you guys think of my new gear. -Steven-
  18. It all depends, the only reasons to invert the subs is to A)do something different w/ your install; B)Look cool; and C) Get every last ounce of usuable volume out of your box; or D)ALL of the above. I don't really think ther is any other advantages or disadvantages to inverting them, but by my personal preference I would rather have them mounted regular. -Steven-
  19. Chevyboy is on everyone, he is like that man and wants to help people out most of the time (no offense chevyboy). But it is all good it is just the internet and like you said you shouldn't care, just let it roll off, man. Acting hard on the internet aint a way to gain respect. Slow your role a lil bit and ease up w/ the wanting to fight and stuff, and maybe the eagerness to rip on you will stop or at least slow down. -Steven-
  20. hahaha BRITNEY, that is funny I almost forgot about that thread. -Steven-
  21. it was only making it hard for them to breathe at one point and flexing the truck apart, get out of here w/ statements like that, if you don't know about then either don't reply or just say "this is what I have heard, or think, etc, etc..." instead of makin bold statements of fact that are b.s. statements and end up making you look dumb. Just tryin to help you out man, seems like you get ragged on all the time because your statements like that. -Steven-
  22. looks like a memphis lvs sub, but I know a couple of other lower brands have started using that same basket design. -Steven- The lvs is the one that has the same power handling as a mojo but has better sq and memphis also says it is good in a home theatre set up.
  23. keep at it man, we will help watever way we can. Post pics up to when you finish it and show off your hard work man! -Steven-
  24. I would defenitely put one since your using two different types just to be extra safe, but some people say it is okay w/o the fuses in between the batteries. I just feel more safe with a fuse between the batteries, it costs more but I think it is worth my piece of mind. -Steven-
  25. just follow the master, its not a tutorial but you can follow what he does. box build for dd's box for mtx's btl build It show his ways, it takes some practice but I sure you will get it -Steven-
