damn thanks man!
alot cheaper than i thought
-
window will be 14 inches by 9 inches
possibly smaller
-
alright thanks for the replies guys
any know how expensive a 14 x 9 3/4 inch thick plexi sheet is?
-
Easy way to do it is grab some 3/4" plexi and just double up 3/4" mdf on the side you want to have the window. Then just create a recessed spot for it to sit in with a 1-1.5" lip to sit on all around.
3/4 is a little thick dont you think?
i was thinking around 3/8 then screw it to the box every inch to inch and a half
-
alright guys im looking to do one on my btl box gotta show the magnet some love
my question is how thick of plexi should i get
and
can i just use caulking to seal it like on the edges of the box after ive screwed it to the box?
any help will be greatly appreciated

THIS will keep you under budget and give you room to expand later on down the road if you want.
EDIT: There's also THIS one if you need a wiring kit too.
EDIT 2: Just go to AudioSavings because they have a bunch of killer deals in your price range.
on that mb quart you linked have you heard anything about them?
do they do rated or atleast close to rated?

confidence and patience..if you dont have a date on which it needs to be done take your time on it
ive built 3 boxes so far and none are perfect so dont get discouraged if it doesnt turn out exactly how you have it drawn out

ahh okay gotcha
id go 5 ported to like 31 hz it would be a low end monster then maybe down the road put more power on em
-
15s, 4-5 of them, comps and don't want so sacrifice any sq? You just did imo.
I know they're not the best subs but they're the best I can afford I'm going to school and only able to work part time plus I'm 18 so think it's pretty good all things considered
okay with that being said why not go like 2 18's of a good strong brand instead of kicker (not hating or anything)
-
what kind of power are you running to them?
-
-
thought maybe 3 10's lvl 4 xls? that would be a huge upgrade and in a proper box
-
sounds good man!
-
get y splitters the only problem with this (since im doing it on my pioneer with only 1 pre out) is that all the mids in the doors and in the front of the vehicle will be faded to the rear meaning your mids and highs will be picking up alot of the bass as well but if you have a mid/high amp then just dont crank the gain and put the lpf higher
-
so what exactly is your question?
-
that air forces is sooo sick!!!!! good job
-
im diggin it man sounds good
-
do you have a date on which this will be released to the public?
and is the power/ground 1/0 or 4 guage?
-
do it but dont use that gain on the amp give a good clean signal an see how long the last!
-
just got a stinger hook up the remote to your deck and the 12v (red) to the power on your amp then find a ground for the voltmeter then you can go down to a autozone or kragen or whatever autoparts store you have and they should be able to check the voltage at your amplifier then pop the cover off the voltmeter and theres a little blue and yellow knob which adjusts the voltage reading so its accurate
-
i know for me its louder when i open the driver door (and i have a baby system)
edit:
and to answer your question i would say yes since with the door open all the sound waves are free to move as they please
