Its always my NEXT system lol
lol true..whats your next system?
I have 4 orion hcca 15s sitting around was gonna put them in my truck but now I'm thinking 4 dc 9k amps and 8 level 5 18s! Its been getting bigger every 6 months. Started with alpine cd player then got a cheap walmart flip out screen then a nice kenwood double din now my truck is sitting with a 12.5" touchscreen hooked up to mac mini. The systems never get smaller! Lol
im diggin the 8 15's! that shit will get loud for sure...mine actully got smaller went from two 12's to 1 10 inch kicker L5

Definitely my first system. 3 beat up old school kicker 12s. Made my younger days a lot of fun.
sounds kick ass man
-
My last system was my favorite(listed in sig). It was a decent install and i thought it pounded. Next one is gonna be good ::evil grin::
good score for a single 18
whats the next system gonna be?
-
I would say my first system. MTX 4500 off a MTX amp. Not much, but I loved it and beat the hell out of that thing.
sounds like it would dump pretty good..always been a fan of the mtx 4500

2 kicker cvt 12s sealed on a pioneer gm7200m and loved it or it could be my newest system, DC LVL 4 15 @ 32.7Hz on a Soundstream TRX1500d @ 1 ohm. the DC shakes literally everything in my truck, some stuff very little, some stuff a lot, but it is all noticeable.
how do you like that dc? thinkin about gettin one soon

there are many people on this site who have had multiple systems in there cars or trucks
so i want to know what was your favorite system?
big or small doesnt matter
mine was a i had two old school rockford fosgates punch z 12's in a small ported box on a cheap crunch amp but they still managed to shake everything in my truck that was my first system as well
let me know this should be interesting
-
i had the same thing happen to me so i stopped playing alot of the bass songs and didnt even my amp on for about 2 weeks then i did a demo for a friend and boom it was on kill like the first time i heard it
-
id go with the fi..they dont seem to have alot of problems
go with ur gut if you want the fi do it
-
its not as easy to create that from scratch and try to make it look identical to the original
and i used illustrator to make vector outlines of everything and then color in photoshop so i would have clean lines
edit: i hope you dont think i just took the background out, that thing had 142 layers when finished
i didnt just render kratos and the logo out of the background, i created them from scratch, thats not as easy as you make it sound
142 layers? that is nuts! looks good tho

I have a set of the 6.5 comps and they have taken everything I have thrown at them and sounded good doing it. I like them and for the price you cant go wrong.
okay thanks so much
i have the kicker ks600's and they take the bass nicely
-
im lookin at the RE 6 fr they peak at 110 watts
im kind of thinkin about gettin a set and tryin them out
and if i dont like them ill put my ks600's back in
-
my moms magnum has boston acoustics in it and it picks up the bass real nice
plays around 30 hertz..gets low enough to play some of Decafs mixes
-
yes something like that
i was messing around on the re website and saw they had components
so idk how they sound ( im sure there good sice there RE audio)
and i wanted to see if anyone has tried them
-

Looks like some clean cuts. Good work!
thanks alot man!
did all the cuts with a jig saw
thanks for all your help with design couldnt have done it without your insight

box looks good just watch how much power your putting to the sub. 600rms sub and a 1200rms amp. we all know you wont be at 1200 but your still gonna be overpowering it. mine did fine on a rft8002 and has been fine on a ap1500@2 ohms so you should be good. i did burn up one though so if you smell anything or its hot turn it down lol.
what of amp do you suggest?
i dont have the hifonics yet
i have around 300 bucks
ill be running a kenwood 7205 2 channel amp bridged at 4 ohms

look up torres calculator on here, use it to design a box for the space you have (that you didn't give us so we can't do it for you) aim for the 12 to 16 square inches of port per net cubic foot range.
i have a about a 40 inch by 40 inch square that i can use
i have a 86 4runner if that helps at all
3 cubes. 31 hz
19" tall external. 17.5 internal
looks great
but is it a 2 1/2 wide port?
how do you think it would sound??
would this box give it deep bass?
yes
good
yes
this is a design i did for someone else and they've already built it and love it.
Mods to get more out of it include: route the mount of the port with a roundover bit, put a 45 in that back left corner. puta smaller 45 in the back right corner, and resin the inside of the box smooth as glass.
thank you so much for your help i plan on buying all the materials on monday
