  1. post a vid of the smoke?

aww come on then give him a break hell i could be wrong it could be a protoype, i mean i honestly believed DAT could have been a great company but shit just happends it wasnt like it was DAT fault they had crappy suppliers

  2. Will do, Will be running it at 4 ohms lol but its still about double the power I'm getting right now. And my tc is begging for more.

i honestly will find out if it is a prototype before u do any transaction imo why trade for a more powerful amp that could be limited to the time its goin to work vs an amp that might have less power will last awhile idk tho what ever choic you think is best more power to ya :drink40:

  3. ok i think your probbably right about the new battery up front, any suggestions?

and as far as the RMS its about 60Wx4 for the mids and highs and i'd say 200W RMS for the subs. again, i know it isnt really that much power. hope that helps

dude ur will be fine, unless you have a real old car my chevy caprice 1989 couldnt handle 800 watts without huge voltage drop

  4. Like the title says fuckd my old one up. I had a cord from a sundown n figured id try it... Didnt work didnt work, as expected. So my question is do I have to get a new one straight from AQ? Is it specifically for the 1200d?

yea that is best bet go striaght to AQ and see wat they have to say

  5. hmm never thought of that guess you learn something new everyday thanks everyone. Anymore? just trying to see whats out there and how people like it.

Just wondering since skullz said butyl rubber is all the same i found this

My linkI was wondering if like instead of expanda foam or great stuff cause i keep seeing people say it could break through your trunk lid if used to much. Could i use this? just curiousity

    or even this?

    http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=butyl+rubber&wrapid=tlif12876067131731&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=1147664905908100860&ei=w1G_TJTQJYSKlweAlbXqBw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=5&ved=0CEIQ8wIwBA#

try audio wrap man i heard good stuff about them

  6. I'd still go XL, their good subs, they don't smell or anything like they're taking too much power or burning, I'd just do your best to keep an eye on them, try to head off any problems before they become that bad. I was just used to my T1s that took a beating and never quit, cept they wouldn't take near the power the XL's do lol. They're solid subs, just keep an eye on them... And I guess leave your window up if you're gonna really be bumping them, I dunno, I didn't think that mattered, but whatevs, still a great sub.

well alright man ima take your word for it , and take the plunge lol howmuch did they cost you??? because im stilll goin need some $ for some1 to build the box grrrr im startin to hate my stang <_< uneven bastard and i have 0 exp box experience well ported boxes

  7. Lol, I don't either, I have a HPF at 30 Hz. Mine tore through on what I THINK was the new disturbed album (or might have been old Metallica) if I remember correctly. I was just relaying what they told me, that it was from high volume with the windows down. I didn't know if anybody else had had this same problem with their XL's...

so im assuming just hold off alil about buying some XL then??? i honestly hate shipping things back and forth

  8. AudioQue. Not sure I would by my amps just for strapping capability, though. Boon's right about using the scope.

Also, are all RF amps strappable? I didn't think they were.

i dont believe they are i think there just the new 2010 are strapple the bd series i believe

  9. Damn, too bad I'm not local, I'd have helped you out, but instead I'm as far northeast as you can go in Wisconsin. You should be able to find someone to do it, just don't bring it to just any shop, they can never build them right.

yea u are pretty far, im more near IL then wisconsin

maybe some1 that lives near chicago area could help me out perhaps hell i even have sum1 make me 1 and ill assemeble it lol like an instructions like place screw here ect... lol ir just sux :shrug:

  10. Yeah, I'm doing the fiberglass on mine now just because I'm about to graduate college and I'm picking up a second vehicle. The big thing for my mids and highs upgrade was that from looking in the window, except for the screen in the dash and nitrous controls in the center console, it had to look stock or at least really close, I didn't want to advertise that somebody should steal my stuff. So it's definitely not some SQ machine that's perfect, but it's a solid upgrade from the stock stereo (which will make you CRY... when you pull the stock stuff out and see how much the Shaker 500 cost as an option). But if you can do a little fiberglass work (it's not terrible, I'm pretty new to it too lol) you can make the car sound awesome!

yea i know what u mean i had my chevy caprice and they broke in and stole everything when io was in vaction it got me really pissed  but lessons learned should have paid for a alarm system, im honestly worried the box mostly since its the most weridest trunk i ever seen i wanna find a good box builder and disgner but i cant really find no1 in the southern wisconsin and northern ill

  11. You might find someone faster if you post up more of what you are looking for in a box, the gear you are using and the car it's going in. Depending on the size and complexity of the box, some builders can ship product too.

well its a 2005 ford mustang, 2 10" dc XL Woofers, aq 3500D i wanna sealed it in the trunk, so that i need sum1 local its have million differnet angles and lid to open is like a 12" and the one behind the seat is like 11" roughly so its a tight fit
