    I've got RF T-series 6x8's in doors and rear deck, all powered off of an RF T400-4 and then RF P1 8's in the factory woofer locations in the doors (mine originally had the shaker 500) and T-series 6.5" components in the kicks, those powered off of a T400-2. Looking to do a little more work and add some more speakers up front (fiberglass the doors, rear deck, etc.), but it sounds damn good (and loud) right now.

    yea mine came with the shaker 500 as well, and i didnt wanna cut holes to make a 6x9 or a 6.5 but i thinking about to do sum pillar 2 tweeters and 1 mid on each side, jus that im honestly never tried fiberglassing before so i have no exp on it

    Yeah, I had a 3 cu ft box for two 10" T1's, rear firing, then did a 2.3 cu ft box forward firing, but I got tired of the T1's, so I'm rounding up equipment now to run my two 10" XL's forward firing and then just use expanding foam to seal it off. And you aren't kidding about the trunk being tiny lol, not to mention the floor makes it even harder to do. I SHOULD be getting ready to have build pics going up sometime around mid to late November though, assuming everything comes in on time and my buddies are ready to help me get everything in and wired up lol.

    haha i wish here it was the same no1 really know much about car audio expect for dang thats loud ppl just slap together a box cut a sqare hole and call it a port no tuning whats so ever nd call it done <_< no really my type of build they all have the average kicker l7 or audio pipe woofer...just cant wait to show them what proper tuning and 2100watts approx can take a 10 dc xl woofer :yahoo:

    Hey man, just saw your sig, good choice on subs and car :P I'm gonna be running my two 10" XLs in my 06 GT off of two RF T1500-1bd's, I bet yours will slam off of that 3500.D

    hey thx im just having trouble with the box desgin the trunks are soo effin small, and i can say im am no box designer whats so ever <_< os its really bummy me out, when u plan on starting ur build??? have u had a build before???

    yeah but if im not mistaken there gana be around the same price. so with the lvl 5s takein the power just fine, your gettin the cone area of 12s with the price of the 10s.. only thing youd get by buying the 10s is less space and satisfaction knowing there xls.

    but set them back in the trunk a bit, for clearence from the seat and its about 3-4in more right beind the opening. then trim it off and shed be pertty and slap.

    its kool i do it all the time :drink40: i learned to reread and reread again, thats what im planin on doin i want to push it alil back so then maybe i can just pull down the seats that has the port so sum1 can ride in the backseat while bumping (idk if that makes sense)

    oh im technically in indiana. but portage IN. like half hour from chicago. not chi-town really just easier to say. hah

    haha o well dang bro i swear in the wisconsin i live car audio is non exsisent ppl think audio pipe is loud in a box that have no clue what its tuned too all they do is just cut ahole and balm they have a port :lol:

    I agree with you 100% on the 12s having more cone area. That's a given. But 1) there is a nice price difference from XLs to 5s. Especially the msrp on them. But there is NO reason to get the 5s unless you plan to add another 3500 for one on each speaker.

    and probley not its just goin to be a daily driver, maybe wayy out in the future if so i can always sell the xl or just put them in my 04 grand prix

    Nope. Lvl 4<XL<Lvl 5. The XL is a mini lvl 5. And you Getz no moar of my avi. Ok going to change it soon.............

    If you really have the money for this shit look into some good high end components. Brands I can't name but focal hertz and rainbow are on the top of my head. Make a wooden plate basically out of 3/4 mdf that covers the stock hole and cut a 6.5" hole for the component and stick the tweeter somewhere on the door panel. If you really get those xls on the 3500 you need some good loud f'n components to keep up with them.

    i cant find hertz anywhere online???? tho and for sum mid/high i can go like around $700 topps im just an 19 livin with daddy still lol, but i mean is there really much of a difference other then the sizes??? like between a 6x8 or a 6.5?

    id go with the level 5 12's face them forward and seal the front of the box off from the trunk. NEVER face them up.. everytime i see that i just wana slap the guy doin it... i also honestly think the lvl 5s will take 2k daily no problem. plus much more cone area then the 10s. "personal opinion"

    who said i wanna goin put them facing up???? and i doubt i can put 12inches and make it fire in the cabin the height in the mustang is like just 12inches i think alil less

    but where in chicago are u from?? j/w i use to live there for awhile live in southern wisconsin now

    It's late October bro. The 15th. Mondays the 18th. Lol. They just got their shipment in from what's being said on the forum. BCBaller**** something like that did a design for me and my brother for a decent price. Most members that do it have it posted in their sig. Just search the forums and find one with something about box designs in their sig and PM them

    haha ur right i been workin like 70 hrs a week latley i dont even know when a day ends nd the other begins but ima ask rusty on the prices for 2 10's XL

    Both are good alts but the mechman will likely have a faster turn around time........

    In enclosure section there is a sticky for Torres box calculator. Try it and see if you have luck. If not people will usually help your out and you can find a few that design boxes for a cheap price

    you know any1 in particular that has a good rep for makin nice boes designs kinda dont wanna spend all the $ on material to come out with a crappy box u know? but i heard dc arnt making lvl 5 till late oct. is this true?? but other then that i appreatice everyythin u done bro :drink40: hopfully by new yrs i can start my build log wisconsin snow is goin to suck tho

    The 10s will save you a little space and yes they'll take the power all day and laugh at you. Lol. But 10s would also be neat because not everyone has done 10s and in a mustang it will be loud.

    Also with good electrical that amp should put out a little over 4k. So each xl would be seeing around 2,100 watts which is perfectly safe for the XL as long as you set your gains right

    well you know any1 that can give me a box desgin??? or is there a program i can use might as well give it a try probley goin to suck tho

    but im plain on maybe a 320 h/o alternator should i get one from Dc or mechman? is that much a prices difference from both of them
