How many speakers can i fit???
KickerKid58 replied to KickerKid58's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
i had actually never even thought of that jc tho... on a quick side note is the easiest way to wire 3 subs on a monoblock amp just wire them all together to the right resistance etc.. to get the total wattage wanted? so 4500w for that setup^^ -

about 17x 37. but it is on an angle so realistically if you were to slide a box thru the hole its only 15" high. yes i want subs and port firing into the cabin. im sure theres ways to angle the subs further into the trunk so they could all fit but the more i do that the more valuable airspace i loose.. -

edited* sorry man figured it was probably a bad idea to toss that in there -
By the end of the summer I should have enough cash to finally get a new setup so i need to finalize what i am going to drop in. The car is a '99 Civic lx. My goal is to squeeze in (4) 12" DC LVL3 's (possibly LVL4's if I can afford it) I am trying to come up with designs tho and I'm starting to think it will be not enough room... here are some pics view from inside car through fold down seats current system. box was kinda hacked up so it would fit in this car. Here is a rough layout of my my trunk i drew out. i rounded down on the measurements if i wasnt sure. and here are the dims on the box i showed above. I would say that this is pretty close to the biggest i guess 'removable' box that would fit in my car. so like i said the goal is to do 4 12's but i guess i could suffice with 4 10's. I'm just trying to figure out how to arrange all the subs so i can fit them in.. Optimally i want a ported enclosure tuned in the mid to low 30's that is completely sealed off from the trunk. ill also add that whatever i end up getting i will be doing any/all electrical upgrades so i can fully power what i get. (2.4k watts for the LVL3's......4k watts if i go LVL4's) plus i already got the big3 and will be getting an XS 5100R very soon so i should be at least half way there lol. ANY ideas or input is GREATLY appreciated

'99 Civic or '04 Lancer?
KickerKid58 replied to Fyro's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
i just bought my '99 civic a week ago. granted its quite a difference coming from a massive lincoln continental its still a fun lil car that gets easily twice the miles per gallon. i got mine with 40k miles and hope to keep it till it hits 200k. everyone i know says its one of the most reliable cars out there! -
Any tips for sealing an enclosure off from the trunk?

Hello All! Finally got my new car ( '99 Civic Lx ) . I wanna drop my subs into it in the next week or so. I optimally would like to have an enclosure aiming into the cabin and sealed off from the trunk. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good way to seal the trunk without causing a mess with expanding foam. It sounds like that's what I'll end up doing but just wanted to check first. Also should you bolt/screw some part of your box to the trunk/rear deck before you work on the actual sealing off part? I appreciate all comments/input

Inexpensive Voltmeter?
KickerKid58 replied to KickerKid58's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
alright thanks guys i guess I'll see what I can grab off ebay -
Does anyone know of a decent brand that sells fairly inexpensive voltmeters? I know the stinger ones are very reputable but I never knew how expensive they were. I also am assuming the ones on ebay that are ten bucks or less are pos. Any suggestions?

QuiBids?? has anybody used this site? im really sketched out about going on a penny auction site but the deals look too tempting... i know alot of other ones are scams but i thought if Meade allowed the ad on his site it might actually be legit. plus QuiBids has a news channel interview with their president that also makes it look a little more legit. any feedback would be awesome

New Music T.I. FT DRAKE POPPIN BOTTLES
KickerKid58 replied to SleeperSierra's topic in Tunez - All things music related
it looks like the sick beat used in pop bottles was stolen from olu! http://www.camelbackmusic.com/2010/12/jones.html not gonna lie I still like TI and drake's version better lol. the beat itself has some really nice lows -
my first 15's dry assembly. will be 4 cubes per sub. after port displacement its sittn just under 9 cubes didnt do the best job on the reinforcement mdf under the subs ports in place, port holes cutout and last piece glued and screwed Complete EPIC FAIL on my part. My initial measurements of my trunk opening were a little off so the box was about 2" too long to fit in my car Ripped off the back piece, trimmed off 3" so I had plenty of wiggle room and re-attached the back piece. Had to sacrifice about 3/4 ft^3 but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Finally fits! the blue led's are from my old setup but they seem to look pretty good here too. also had some strobes that were off. vid soon
