  1. Those prices are damn good, and thanks, but i have a question. (serious questions lol) So a "Monoblock Amp" puts out its actual wattage? and Whats the diffrence between a Class d amp and a Class a-b amp? The other day i was at the store and met some guy who was bumpin, and found out he had a 2000w Rockford Fosgate amp for sale for $200. He looked at my system and said i had a "Class A-B Amp" and the Fosgate he had was a "Class D" and it would literally tear my subs apart... As u can tell im not a stereo pro, but more of a stereo enthusiast who's learning...
  2. What about a bandpass box for the 2 Fosgates? my lil bro had 2 JL 12's in a bandpass and it sounded sick, i also had 2 pioneer 10's in a bandpass in a 79' Chevy and i loved it...
  3. Really feelin that Fosgate combo, looks good, and ive heard Fosgate subs, love em too, but should i go with 10's or 12's? If i go with 10's i already have a sealed box to go w/ it, but with the 12's i won't have a box, i can make one (I do Home Renovation) but i don't know how to make a specifically tuned box. Anyone kno how to make a tuned box or can give me some tips???
  4. I don't want a comp. system, just something that can keep up w/ me, nothin too big, but not too small. my friend has a lansar 15 w/ a 50 watt precision power amp bridged and his is enough for me, but i love the sound from a good set of 12's. When my ears start to hurt and i can feel the bass in my chest, its enough for me Lets see, i got little more then 1k to spend, was goin to go on vacation but didn't, so have this $ figured i'd treat myself to a new system. Ima need subs, compasitor, def. an amp, new head unit, and maybe upgrade the factory speakers... its not goin to be a compitition system, just a damn good one....
  5. and of course the Amp, this one looks suitable... http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=265-328
  6. Or should i upgrade to a set of 12's? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=293-484 these look pretty good, again lemme know whatcha guys think...
  7. Ive been looking for some new subs in my 98' mustang, and i think i found a decent pair. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=293-360 They look pretty good, and it's in my price range, but if i was to get them i'd def. have to upgrade my amp. I already have a box, 2 10" enclosed, but should i modify it to be ported or should i keep it enclosed? Id also like to get a decent Rockford Fosgate amp, and would like some opinions. lemme know what u guys think..
  8. I own a 98' Ford Mustang, hooking up the CD player i had problems. When i bought the car the guy who previously owned it had literally "ripped" out the factory stereo, therefore removing all the wires from the factory clip. I found out what wires go where (all my power/and what i thought were speaker wires). While hooking up the CD player i didn't get any sound at all through any of the speakers, and had to re-run all the factory door and rear speakers, worked and sounded alright. Then i went ahead and ran all my amp wires, RCA, Rem, Gnd, and my constant. It sounded great and thumped just as i wanted it to that whole day. The next day i went out, started it up, left and when i turned it up there's a fuzz from all the factory speakers. I noticed when i turn down all the bass, it helps a little till i go over 12. When i turn the balance to just the front speakers, it doesn't fuzz, but then i get no bass and shitty sound. Just wondering what u guys think, worked & sounded great till the next day, hoping someone in here could tell me whats up w/ it. any help or suggestions would be great. Also currently i have 2 pioneer 10's that im looking to upgrade and also want to upgrade the amp. Any suggestions for an Amp/Speaker combo? Not looking to spend over $500 but also want a good crossover. Again any suggestions/help would be great, Thanks.
