I'm using my iPad and I still keep having problems with my profile pic and the boarders keep changing. Now it is going to a white background with blue words with no pics the back to regular forum. I've closed the page reset the iPad cleared cookies,history etc. Please help me figure this out it is annoying the crap out of me. I don't know if it's an iPad thing or something else.

OP talks with a mechanic about a system. Mechanic gets a system, then asks OP to bring his system by. OP does, then mech asks him to post his build on another forum. OP goes through BS on that forum. Thank God this forum isn't close minded like other forums. That's pretty much it. ouch

I have been talking to a guy at the mechanic shop about car audio.When he seen what I had in the van when it was in the shop and the escort.He started to ask all kinds of questions which is cool so I pointed him to this site.Week later he was sporting 4 15" subs in a early Mazda extended cab truck.Then he asked if I could bring up my dd-1 and set the amps which was cool.Well he asked me last week to post my build log for the escort up on this forum he is on.Which I told him he could come to SMD and check it out but thats when it got interesting.He said this forum just wasn't for him again we have are choices.It was the reason is what got me.He informed me he likes to see real builds(what I was thinking)that real people do.Not the I have a shop and sponsors or the it's not a real everyday vehicle.I about fell over cause this whole time I was thinking.The builds are done by people with diff pocket books and diff interests they all work hard on them.Then they all use aftermarket audio of some sort thats sounds real to me lol.I told him some of that but being a good sport and trying not to get into who's better than who.I went to this forum and started to post the log.First you gotta get permission and the mods have to decide if its worth posting or appropriate etc.Then when it was approved you are limited on how much you post.Well I got the wifes escort up.Granted it's not for everyone and my log isn't the best but for a first I'm happy so far.Last night I was told that my build won't get much if any responses because.The equipment I used wasn't that great,for $986.63 total cost so far what do they expect 10 18" subs.Then the fact it was based for my wifes love for the Cowboys,really we all have our teams that's what makes football fun.Then the last reason was my build was clean but too simple.What tell that to my hands after 10 hours of sound deadening or figuring out how to build a proper box on my own for the 4 time.We all have different levels of skill,knowledge,tools and money and most of us strive to push the envelope and learn more.If they are that closed minded then they won't be around long or won't have a good knowledge base like SMD does.Thats sad to me cause we need more legit audio people to bring this stuff back into main stream.To show that everyone could benefit from aftermarket systems.Sorry for the long post but I'm proud to say I'm spoiled by this forum . I wasn't posting this as a verses thread just what I ran into.

I'm putting a target on my chest now.What is the diff in the subs I have no clue on this.I actually thought they where the same shows how much I know.As far as the subs go all I know is that they are Fi.All he told me was size and they have a rms of 1500 I wouldn't have a clue.

I was hoping i would get a answer in my other post without a new one whoops.My friend asked me about infinite baffles and I told him I would ask on here.Cause I am not impartial on them too old school and don't like them.He is planning on using 2 12" Fi subs don't know the power just he's putting it in a 2000 Honda accord.I don't know those subs or herd them in person.So I would like someone with more experience to give some kind of honest advise on this.Me personally I would worry about unloading and no tunning capability's.Also going to do that much work to mount the baffle solid just might as build a whole box but that's my opinion.

A side note until last month I haven't paid much attention to comps.The last time I was into the comp seen was when stroker,fosgate and earthquake was ducking it out for who is who.Plus nothing against them or anything but the daily drivers I see on this forum could give them a run.That just shows how far the knowledge,skill level and technology have come.
