This is in a 97 e150 van. Later there will be another batt in the rear to help with the power converter. The run from alt to batt will be close to 4.5' thank you for the info. I know it's not for the alt and stuff but can't hurt hopefully. Absolutely don't want any fires!I'd fuse to just a little under what the wire is rated for. Remember your fusing to keep the wire from catching fire if it gets overloaded from a short, not to protect any equipment. So Not sure what the 3/0 ofc is rated at the wire/fuse chart don't say. So if ran a 200a fuse at the batt and one before it goes back in the van I will be fine? From the fuse block to the amps will be 4' of 1/0 off brand wire. Are the 4ch fuses in the block being 60a good or should it be 30a same for the mono being 80a.? Thanks for the help I want to make sure everything is done the correct way the first time.

Keep it up and you'll con-fuse me .hahahahaha you're very punnywhy do you have 2 fuses on alt wire and power wire? are you trying to set up a 600A fuse and a 280/240A fuse? The reason for fuse at both ends of the alt to batt wire. Is if something was to short out in the middle hopefully it wil save my alt and battery. You lost me on the 600a and 240a fuse part. The alt wire has two numbers on the fuses cause I don't know if I should go with alt output of 120a or go bigger one of 140a. The run from battery to the power fuse block is going to be 18-19' in length. So a fuse by the battery and one near the rear for middle protection. It will only see the Maxx amperage of 280a if something goes wrong. So I'm tring to make sure I'm doing this right. The stuff I read so far goes back and forth at time so I got lost. This is for my van starting to draw up plans for her .

I am going to use 3/0 Eupen flex rn-7 1x90 mm welding cable. From batt to rear fuse block and big three. Total fused rating is 280 amps. I would like someone to tell me if I'm figuring this right please. The alt is stock 120 amp and I was going to use 120 amp fuse or should I stick with 200 amp. The power wire run from batt to back with 300 amp fuse or will 280 be better. Hope this pic of it will help.

LOL. I didn't get pics of the amp and stereo wiring out of respect for him. Someone might recognize his car so I didn't risk it. The power wire for the amp was spliced into the power wire of the stereo. Ran down the middle of the car with spots of it melted. It was 18 gauge speaker wire twisted together. Then the remote was straight from power side of the amp. The good news is Mike, boss man and I got together got some wiring for him and fixed it up. Boss man couldn't let it leave the shop that way with a baby in that car. I got free mechanic work and a cable out of it but I would have done it for free just to keep that child and him safe.

Yesterday I was at the shop putting my van on the lift to replace the shift linkage. Mike told a guy asked if I would install his system in a neon. I said sure then he said their is a problem. He wants this installed 2 12" mojo's,5000 watt phoenix gold amp, fosgate punch 600a4 with 2 sets of mtx comps. Here's the problem lol. This is the power wire from the battery that runs the car not just his stereo. The 16gauge house wiring was starting to melt at the splice. The terminals were stripped out being held in place with speaker spades. The guy was getting a clutch and was asking why his system was shutting down. This is what someone told him to do to get more power to the car and the system. Those kinds of people should be horse whipped.

One more part. The part his guru says fine or great and Steve is happy is all counts. I'm lost why everyone is so on his case and others for SQ? Unless the vehicle is used for SQ comps what's the big deal. If I'm off tell me that's fine I'm here to learn. I can't hear full SQ or stereo as I hear out of one ear 1/2 octave lower 1 octae higher. I can tell if it's blended or dead space in the vehicle which isn't the right term. Steve with those 8s in the so low how dose it sound or feel playing rock or metal? Haven't ran any before and very curious.

That makes good seens.

Ok thanks I would've mixed too much. When I mix it I'll have close to the car then. Yesterday was 104 with 93% humidity if that makes any diff.

Thanks guys this gives me a better chance of success first round hopefully.

Ok thanks guys I will do that. Roughly how much less hardener should I use. Cut it back to half or a few drops.

As topic suggest what do I or is their anything I need to watch for. The temp at my house has been 100-109 so far. The glass project will be mainly outside no shop or garage to put the car in. The resin is home depo stuff if that helps. Thanks guys for any info or guidance. I'll be making a glass mold for the rear deck.
