hmm thats what ive been thinking. I know when i put in just my 5 gauge wire that the panels had a hard time going in unless i quickly pushed the wire under the carpet and before it slide down, slammed the cover in its place. Ive been thinking about running it underneath the car and drilling a hole up into the cab. How many feet of wire will it take to run to the back of my blazer?

Will a rockford R1000-1D 1000 watt prime amp be good power for a pair of t1 12's? Not sure if I should get 4 ohm or 2 ohm version either ....That is of course until I upgrade the amp. but that one should be fine until I get some more money..correct? -

Well thats why I said something like it. I really like some of the DD subs. Anyway i looks like the 4 12's will be it. Now i just need to figure out the box design. Anyone know of some good calculators and or some one that could design this box for me? I really wish I knew what I was doing -

In the event that I upgrade to p3's or T-series? But by the time I get a T-series woofer or something like it. The box wont be up to spec for them at all. I guess I better go with the 12's then. -

should i go with what rockford tells me on the box specs or no? Because there have been people on here that have built to say alpines specs and people say things are too small like ports and such -

^^^ Oh damn yes they are! didnt move my current box out of the way to measure. didnt think of it. but now come to think of it if I can leave space there, my amps would have a nice spot to sit. How many cubes do I need for the 4 15 inch fosgate p2's ported?....roughly 10.64? on a quick calculation. Then the p2 12's ported would need? hmm.....7.2 cubes? -

alright looking from the back window forward. I have a measurement of 46" at the back seat measuring across behind them. Then 30" measuring from the back of the rear seats to the rear tailgate. In the back in front of the tailgate i got 49" and finally a depth of 16". hope you guys can understand that. id like to keep the dimensions a little smaller then that aswell just so I know it will fit and to make it easier to take out it need be. thanks -

ok im going outside right now to get the measurements -
Im looking at building my new system but need some input on which subs should choose. Im thinking either 4 rockford p2 12's dual 4 ohm, or 4 rockford p2 15's in dual 4 ohm. Im just not sure if ill have enough space for a ported box for the 4 15's. The subs will be going in a 1996 4dr blazer and I would like the rear seats to be able to stay folded up and not be stuck down. I will go with the 15's i guess if i can fit a good ported box for them in the truck without said seats needing to be folded down and without it sticking much over the window line. Thanks for any help on this! oh and btw once i get the whole project rolling a build thread will be made.

So ive been doing my research and measurments and decided that Id rather not have 4 10's and then started looking at 6 12's which i quickly dismissed. I think 4 12's or 4 15's would be best for me at the moment im just not sure if ill be able to have a big enough box in the back of my 96 4 dr blazer to fit 4 15's in a ported box. I do not want the box above the window line. anyone have any advice on weather i should go with the 4 p2d412's or 4 p2d415's? thank you. Oh and again im looking more for low window shaking, roof flexing, ear bleeding bass then sound quality. thanks

My alternator is stock but I can upgrade if need be to a bigger one. My battery (i only have one at the moment) is an everstart (made by johnson controls not exide) Maxx 1N. which is a decent battery. My budget is also about 5 or 600 dollars give or take. I can go higher if need be but id like to keep it fairly cheap seeing as im still in highschool.
