  1. Check all your ground points and make sure none of them have paint, dirt, dust, etc on them.... Also try replacing your rca's with new one's. It could be a number of things Edit: Do you have your rca's "run" next to your power wire?
  2. Looks like an ssd to me too. How much did you pay for it?
  3. I haven't had it metered, but its louder than my friends 15" L5. Plus it sounds a hell of alot better. But that depends on the enclosure and car. Ssd's will take more power than L5's too Edit: Forgot to mention in my above post that I got mine used on this site for $180 shipped
  4. Look for a used fi ssd. They are awsome subs
  5. not a mac fan myself either..... but that thing is thin. Whats it weigh?
  6. Wish I had the cash for that. As it is it'll be 5-6 months before I can get my new truck. I got enough saved up for most of the system but I'm gonna wait till I get my new truck to get it all.
  7. Looks like xl's it is. depending on the new truckor suv I get they will either be 15's or 18's
  8. They wont be going in my caprice. They are either gonna go in a chevy colorado or trailblazer. haven't decided yet because it looks like i would prolly have to wall the colorado to get the 18's. This will only be my second build and I'm not comfortable enough with my box building skills to attempt a wall yet.
  9. electrical will consist of a new mechman alt and a xs power d1200 under the hood with a d3100 in back. May another batt if needed
  10. Ok so I'm planning my next build. I've figured out my next amp which is gonna be a aq3500d. I was wondering which sub would be better for this amp. I'm looking at either 2 lvl 4's or 2 xl's. I know both are underated but wanna take the chance of ordering the wrong one and regretting it later. I know the xl's would take the power but would the lvl 4's take that much power even if it was clean power? If I can save some money by getting the lvl 4's that would be great if not it's not a big deal. Just wanted to hear some experienced input
  11. Well both cars are one's I found on autotrader. They arnt the exact ones I want but I do like the fusions interior better than I like the malibu's. The malibu also comes in the ss version which has an awesome looking body kit and better interior. It also has a couple extra horses under the hood
  12. I like the way they look. both get good gas mileage . I'm not really sure on the ford fusion but idk. I would like to get a truck but I need something that gets good gas mielage. Any other recomendations are welcome to as long as they are in my budget ( which is about $12,500) Edit: Also both are "roomy" I've ridden in a fusion and I like the way it rides. I'm not a big ford fan except for the mustang but I like the car
  13. Ok I think I have my decision down to 2 cars. the first one is a 2006 malibu hatchback The second one is a 2006 ford fusion I like the malibu because I can put 2 15's in it. I would only be able to do 2 12's in the fusion without walling it off. Does anyone here drive one of these cars? Any opinions are welcome
  14. check your 12volt ignition wire and 12 volt constant wire with a meter to make sure they arnt switched
  15. I think you have to order from a dealer near you. I'm not 100% sure about that that. They have a list of dealers on their website
  16. DC Audio. Theres the link for DC subs. I've never had any experience with them but it seems like alot of people on this forum have them
  17. I get ya. If you wanna go big I'd do like 2 or more 15" Fi btl's. That is Fi's best woofer. On the other hand if you really dont wanna spend much go for a couple 15" Fi ssd's. Ive got one and love it
  18. So I guess you dont have a budget then???? Check out Fi subs here. They have some awsome subs
  19. 15" ssd comes in today. fedex needs to hurry up

  20. if only it had been something harder than a bottle of water. like a rock maybe

Ive got new specs that semm to be what is needed Box Dimensions: 17"(H) x 20"(D) x 32"(W) Port Dimensions: 14 1/4"(H) x 4"(W) x 15 1/4"(1st port piece) x 16 3/4"(second port piece) 58" of port area This gives me a total of 3.74 net cubes at 32.20 hz.
