  1. Wow looks like im going to be making a two hour drive tomorrow after work to my closest Car audio store to get some 4 gauge ! no way i could help from turnin it up full blast ! Would it help to get an even bigger gauge wire ? And is there any other place to get larger wire that i could use for this ? Hardware store etc. ?
  2. thanx for the info, i already ordered some its just really hard to wait on it when i got this amp here and want to hook it up ! Can i run it off my 8 gauge just for a few minutes to test it out ? If not what could happen if i tried it like that ?
  3. ok guys i know this is going to sound absurd cuz it sounds that way to me just saying it, but my question is if my Amp suggests a 4 gauge hot and ground wire and all i have around is 8 gauge, can i run two 8 gauge from the same source side by side to the amp and it be like running 4 gauge ? See the thing is that i live in a very rural area and the only thing within 75 miles is a walmart and all they have is 8 gauge also. Granted i will only be doing this temporarily until my 4 gauge wire is delivered next week. P.S. What would be the results just using my 8 gauge that i have already ran in my car ? Powerbass ASA600.2 amp
  4. What im tryin to ask is . . . . . would it be better to run my subs off the powerbass vs my 600 watt jvc, or run one sub off each amp ? If the powerbass will provide my subs with a little more thump then i will use my jvc for a component amp. Opinions please ?
  5. Well i know enough to at least know that the powerbass is better than my jvc 600 watt ! may just use one on each sub ? would that work ok or not ?
  6. oh no, cant afford those ! but i have one 600 watt already so still can use the powerbass along with it. Why does the amp say 1200 watts if it isnt 2 ohm stable ?? oh and could only spend like 75 dollars and got the powerbass for 65 bucks !
  7. Would the PowerBass asa600.2 be a good amp for two 12's that are 350 rms and 1200 watt max ? I think the powerbass amp is 600 bridged at 4 ohms , so it would be 1200 bridged at 2 ohms correct ? and what do yall think of the powerbass amps ? oops shouldve posted in amplifiers, sorry !
  8. Oh i completely understand, dont get me wrong, i have a friend with 4 sundowns in a hummer and my cousin has 6 DD's in his Cadillac and of course they thump HARRRRD ! Im just saying for what i gave for my Sony subs, they are great. Purchased them in the beginning with the intent to replace them later on after i got more knowledgeable with this stuff ! Didnt want to burn up some high-end Subs cuz im a NOOB ! P.s. And oh, im still keeping my Avatar !!!!!!!!!
  9. Think i will try some Rockfords, i have had some of they're speakers in the past but never components but i enjoyed the ones i had !
  10. I love my Sony subs !!!! Im dead serious bruh ! These subs thump for the price, check out Rockbrook's videos on this site and look these subs up on youtube and u can see that they aint as big a joke as alot of Haters think they are ! They are a stepping stone to some higher end subs for me but im happy with them for now ! And the Avatar was kinda meant as a joke ! LOL
  11. Taurus WOOT WOOT ! Approximately what size amp should i be looking at for components ?
  12. With my other amp coming in tomorrow or the next day for my subs, i am looking to buy components for my doors. What suggestions do you have for a good set of components with crossovers for under 200 dollars ? And what wattage amp should i use to drive them ? need tweeters that are 2 inch or smaller to fit in my factory pods.
  13. Cool, mine are sealed in two separate boxes right now, planning on adding a third after i get my HU and some components put in my doors so i can have a little high and some mid-bass also. But im tellin ya there are some HATERS around that jus dont know bout these subs ! Goin to post some more vids with these flexin in the next couple of days . Gonna make these people some believers in Sony Subs !
  14. Ive got mine on one 600 watt amp and got another 600 watt amp coming in this week so i will have one on each sub, mine are in sealed enclosures, how about your setup ?
  15. Sweet dude ! I have 2 12" Xplod, 1200 watt and people really dont realize they do hit hard for cheaper subs ! SPEAK OUT BRUTHA !!
  16. uh i dont know bout that , my car is even a bigger POS than my system , it has alot of Rattles ! HE HE HE !
  17. Yeah it was mostly as a joke ! Just starting to venture into the car audio stuff. I have been in the automotive industry for years, mostly doing frame off restorations and some customizing but with this being my first time with doing car audio myself , i wanted to start with some cheaper components and learn my way up instead of burning up some expensive stuff off the bat !!!
  18. Hey, no joke, thats with one 600 watt amp ! the other 600 will be in this week and put up another vid then ! And thanks to everyone that help me set my Gains !! Woot Woot !!
  19. Here is my first vid post ! It is a cheap parody of many of ya'lls videos of your higher end systems flexing, except mine is of my cheap Sony Xplods vibrating my rear view mirror to Oxycotton ! LOL ENJOY !!
  20. liked the first sub so much i decided to get another ! be really surprised how much thump these give out ! they shake everything in my car ! All my friends with more expensive subs cant believe how hard they hit ! Another amp going in this week !! Now gotta decide on a new headunit !!! Too many choices !! Suggestions for under 300 ?
  21. ok, here is the start of my first build. I just simply started with what i had, which was my daily driver Taurus. Obviously wanting bass first , i went with what i could afford, which was a 600 watt JVC amp a prefab sealed 12 inch box and a 1200 watt Pioneer sub which fried on me the first day ! so i tried the only other thing i could find that day and that was a 1200 watt Sony Xplod 12. And despite what i have heard bout their head units, this speaker had some serious thump !
