But here's how it is all shaping up. 1 - DC Power XP270 160-180 amps at idle and 270 amps at 1800 engine RPM (perfect for diesel) 2 - XS Power D6500's 1 pr of morel hybrid ovation 4" comps in dash 1 pr of morel 5.25 comps in the q-logic kicks 1 pr of 8" morels in front doors 1 pr of polk 6.5" comps in rear doors 4 - 10" DC LVL 4's 1 - Zapco Reference 350x2 (long bitch 2 - 2 channel amps in 1) 1 - American Bass VFL 500.1 1 - 4 channel amp (yet to be decided) 1 - Alpine IVA-W200 (Brand new in box, bought 3 yrs ago and sittin on shelf since) Sound deadener/blocker up the arse....doors, floor and roof.

Yeah it prolly will. But it also needs to sound good on music, seeing as this is my daily driver....lol. Which if all goes well should sound great.

Of course I went to the main page and yeah....Zeebs is the place who doesn't return calls or answer the phone. Trust me, I have tried calling them lots. Plus ordering direct on the website is a pain in the ass. I don't know who they ship with to Canada. And that is huge for us. If I was to order online and they shipped UPS, I would have to pay taxes, duties, brokerage, and shipping on the product. Which with them is sometimes more than what the product is worth. And they charge duty on items that are part of free trade, basically fucking the good guy. So yeah. Thats why I would like to know if there is anyone else Alberta....that sells it. Or if there is a way to order direct and organize shipping. Also do the dealers up here recognize the email notification discounts?

So 4's will be plenty (no point in going $$$ than I have to) Does a guy go dual 2 or dual 1? Dual 2 can give - .25 comp, and 1 daily Dual 1 can give - .5 comp, and 2 daily Not sure what a 500.1 puts out at .25

I have a freaking diesel megacab on 35's......I need sound deadener/block/eliminate/destroyer....lol. I have been signed up to the website newsletter for a while, and I see deals come and go, because shipping is always killer. Any recommendations?

Seems like popular recommendation is the 4 - 10's ported. LVL 4's - Dual 1's will give either a .5 or 2 ohm final - .5 for comp, 2 for daily. LVL XL's - Dual .7's give a .35 or 1.4 final - .35 for comp, 1.4 for daily. Taking into account box rise and ratings for the subs, and amp rating.....which is the better setup? Recommended port size and lengths for each setup? We'll say 4 cubes total after displacement.(tuned for music able to get loud)

Yeah I don't think I can go much over 4 cubes. I need to keep the baby seat hooks, only building to the bottom of those. (got a new one coming in Feb, and brother in law has a new baby too) I might be able to squeek 4.2 cubes maybe? Have to look and see, maybe make a cutout around the baby hooks? Already got the toolbox tray ripped out. I got a max height of 17" on the back wall right now. 59.5" wide. Also do the xs 6500's fit in the stock batt tray and use the stock tiedowns?

Yeah I figured the 12's would give me the nice lows over the 10's. Hence why I came here. To get the guys who actually use these, to throw up their thoughts. I am not against 10's, and 15's we just don't have the airspace for. So trying to find what is going to fit the bill to the box and usage. Remember this isn't just for spl. I guess 4 10's ported still uses 4 cubes, so it would be the choice: 4 - lvl 4 12's sealed 4 - lvl 4 10's ported 4 - XL 10's ported Whats the recommended port size and length for the 10's? Running off the VFL 500.1

Hey all, new to the site. Found ya after talking to Clay on facebook. I used to be in the scene about 4 yrs ago, but life and whatnot got busy fast. But this brings me to my current situation. I want to build a decent system for my mega. I have about 4 cubes to work with, and after lookin at dc's site for a few hrs, and reading the first 22 pages of this forum, I have some questions. 1. Would 4 lvl 4 12's in a 4 cube sealed be alright with a AB VFL 500.1 on them at a 1 ohm load? 2. Would I be better off with 2 12's lvl ? with 4 cubes ported? Again, it is a daily driver, I also would like to be able to go to the occasional show and hit something respectable. If I knew how to post an attachment here I would post a paint sketch of box size availability. I already know I am needing to upgrade my dual batts, but what size/make/model? (fit in stock dodge diesel location) Also any great sources for an improved alt, that wont mess with the canbus system in the dodge? I seen Irragi, but I also seen most of the latest threads are people having probs and not able to get ahold of em. Any thoughts, comments or improved ideas are welcome. Like I said, been a while since I have been on the block, and would like to get up to speed. And great site here guys.
