  1. Had alot of requests for pricing so here it is. Standard (you can pick 2 or 3 spiders): 10" - $415 / MSRP - $535 12" - $425 / MSRP - $550 15" - $440 / MSRP - $570 18" - $480 / MSRP - $620 OPTIONS: Double tinsel leads* - Add $10 Nightshade Cone** - Add $10 Nightshade Spiders (you can pick 2 or 3)*** - Add $20 Additional spiders (more than 3)**** - Add $5 each * - If you will be running an amp at 0.5 ohm or more than 2000 watts or so I suggest this. Generally speaking you will not need it if you are not an SPL competitor putting large amounts of burp power to the driver - but it is there if you want it. If you don't need them I suggest not getting them as they can chatter a bit at low volumes since they are two separate leads - probably won't hear this at all in a box listening to music, though. They are primarily designed for SPL competitors that need the extra current capacity! ** - The 18" uses the Nightshade cone, this is standard. This option is available on 10s, 12s, and 15s. Only SPL competitors will need the Nightshade cone - and even then only for VERY high power. *** - The Nightshade spider is totally different. If you do not know why you would want them then you don't need them. **** - I do not suggest using more than three. But if you must have them they are available.
  2. Tried to talk Hank into finishing it for me *laughs*

  4. If the picture was broken before for you it should work now... had to change it from CMKY to RGB for Internet Explorer to read it.
  5. My favorite aspect is that the size is barely increased from the 2000... by going to the IRFP360LC output stage alot of room was saved vs. the IRF640 / 9640 design from the SAZ-2000D. The output section = the SAZ-3000D in this amp, actually... so it's quite overbuilt.
  6. I am going to make the official announcement now that we are sold out of new SAZ-2000Ds -- yes, I am in fact sold out... a few used ones remain but that is it. To replace it I am developing an SAZ-2500D model. This is a new board tooling for Sundown and is ours in the USA exclusively just like the SAZ-3500D. Just a HAIR larger than the SAZ-2000D and over 500 watts more power is expected from it. I am excited about it -- more details will be available once I have the prototype in hand. This evens out the amp line to 1500, 2500, 3500, and 4500 so there is not such a large gap from the 2000 to the 3500. It is too early for ETAs or pricing... but I will do a pre-order once testing is completely. Same build house as the SAZ amps now - just a new tooling ! I'll post new updates as they are available in this thread.
  7. ~87 @ 1w/1m Really a very unimportant spec for a subwoofer, though.
  8. Got up to 149.9 dB with 1420 watts (less than rated RMS).
  9. So far I've used 4000-watts clamped on it -- 153.0 dB score. In my particular box 2 spiders would be louder -- but I think that is pretty good for the stock setup

  12. Just like the SA-12 they run great sealed or ported. For ported you need 1.25-1.75 cubes.
  13. I'll measure it again and find out once I beat on it a bit

  15. Yes. Two LVL-4 on a 1500D will work well.
  16. Yes you can strap them.
  17. They are compatible with one another. If they weren't I would have said so on the site by making the newer ones an all new v.2 model. The changes made over the years do not make them incompatible... big caps changed from 80v to 100v and a bunch more screws added to the board and the main changes.
  18. Just waiting on the coils to come in and all the parts will be ready to roll !
  19. Built one yesterday almost full production specifications -- only difference to production is a small change to the coil (those coils are not in stock yet -- they are the last part I need). Specifications : RE: 1.9 ohms (D1 in series) FS: 42.2 Hz (5 minute break-in) Qes: 0.480 Qms: 4.024 Qts: 0.429 Le: 0.980 mH Vas: 49.725 L BL: 16.238 NA Mms: 251.09 g Cms: 56.48 uM/N Sens: 90.76 1w/1m Sens: 97.00 2.83v/1m FS will drop along with Qts as Cms increases with break-in. * Light weight cone with narrow / tall surround (standard) -- the Nightshade cone can be used for ULTRA high power applications * Single lead spiders (standard) -- double lead are optional
