  1. One 3000D - on paper 1/2 ohm nominal but the DMM read 1 ohm at the end of the wire. This was in Brandon's Bronco -- has two broken roof braces and tends to be quieter than the Jeep. I'd bet in the Jeep it would have been a few dB up.
  2. Check it out We made a ghetto box last night for some 8s -- 1/2" thick MDF, no bracing, we did not actually calculate the tuning or volume so don't ask *laughs* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLbTtVjdD8c * Bass Race Run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_FN83Ut62s * Burp Score But yes... the E8s have some good SPL potential.
  3. Well - its a big coil, 3" diameter x 2" winding height. Many other subs with a similar coil size are used on a regular basis with 1500 watts. OD is 15.5" with gasket.
  4. Dual-4 nominal and Dual-2 nominal are what is available. Pre-order is running until the beginning of February and/or when they sell out. That box sounds perfect to me for a good SQL setup!
  5. Nope - just a logo on the dust cap!
  6. "Daily" depends on the user - they are rated for 1000-watts RMS and a blown coil is not covered under warranty. That being said... I was pretty hard on the prototype and it still works perfectly so it will be difficult to blow these if any common sense whatsoever is utilized
  7. That is about the extent of details released until I get the prototype *laughs*
  8. Derrick, Wait until I test the NS-X -- I suspect it will be as loud if not louder
  9. New best with two 3000s We re-built it with just three spiders. Again this affirms my notion that the setup with 5 spiders would have liked to see more power. May try the three spider version with four amps to see if it continues to gain too. Just doing it for fun / R&D in general now!
  10. Arguably the best built driver I've had my hands on... I am VERY confident in these.
  11. 1000-watts RMS rated. They handle alot of abuse, though Two 1500s yielded 149.4 dB @ 1 ohm each - two 3000s brought me up to 150.3 dB (not using all of the power of the 3000s).
  12. These drivers would be insane in a big 4th order clam-shell wall - hint hint!!!
  13. Do not have an ETA on those just yet - just keep an eye on the forums
  14. Record time 1 minute and Gary is ON IT!
  15. Z15 Pre-Sale in Effect as of today. The ETA is mid February on these. MSRP is $449 on these! D4 and D2 coils will be available - limited quantity for the first run, so these won't last. $300 shipped in the continental USA for one. $570 shipped in the continental USA for two. $1100 shipped in the continental USA for four. 10% off pre-orders placed before January 15th Paypal to [email protected] More than four please contact me. T/S Specs for 15" D4 model (D2 will be very similar): Revc= 6.150 Ohm series Fs= 28.585 Hz Sd= 83.000m M² Vas= 105.275 L Cms= 107.617 uM/N Mms= 288.070 g BL= 26.107 T·M Qms= 5.000 Qes= 0.467 Qts= 0.427 BL²/Re= 110.825 2" tall windings on a 3" diameter coil - high linear x-max LC-SG motor design. These are an "SQL" subwoofer - they will sound very good sealed or ported but also have excellent SPL potential. These are MADE IN USA woofers. * Z15 Next to Nightshade * Z15 Cone Picture - has a tall roll thick foam surround and large poly dust cap * Tied down tinsel leads, bolted down spider, extended neck joint on the cone * Back shot of the motor * Testing in my Jeep * Top SPL Score with two 3000Ds
  16. Only two like this. May or may not make more in the future - but certainly an awesome sub for sick low-end.
  17. Consistently surviving burps from two 3000Ds... the real strength of these is daily for LOW-end extension thanks to the low Fs.
  18. Nearly fresh T/S Specs: Re: 2.1 ohms (D1 coils in series) Fs: 30.9 Hz Qes: 0.48 Qms: 10.0 Qts: 0.46 Vas: 35 L BL: 22.5 Cms: 43.7 uM/N BL^2 / Re: 241 (!!!) Looking for $375 each from these... really only want to sell as a pair.
  19. Would be great sealed or ported Very good "SQL" driver - similar specs / motor geometry to SI Mag v.3 but in my testing handles more power.
  20. I'd say around 300 shipped each on pre-sale. T/S on D4 model: Revc= 6.150 Ohm series Fo= 28.585 Hz Sd= 83.000m M² Krm= 6.988m Ohm Erm= 0.927 Kxm= 133.190m H Exm= 0.630 Vas= 105.275 L Cms= 107.617 uM/N Mms= 288.070 g BL= 26.107 T·M Qms= 5.000 Qes= 0.467 Qts= 0.427 BL²/Re= 110.825!!!!
  21. I started production on a limited run of D2 and D4 15s. Anyone interested in pre-ordering ? ETA is February.
