  1. Not sure about soon - but eventually.
  2. Indeed - large gap on purpose, as I have no real idea what they would cost yet Nor am I certain this design will be the final production design as it stands.
  3. The coil failed due to the "new" fiberglass former wrapping sliding off the coil. Triple joint still glued to the wrap... but the rest of the coil just fell down into the motor. Apparently the spun-lace nomex that we all know and love is in short supply so they are trying this fiberglass stuff... I told the coil manufacturer to make me some new ones with spun lace so I can get back to testing - you can swing by then
  4. Actually it is tuned around 40 Hz or so
  5. As seen in the Bronco video * - she approves the monster sub. * This one -
  6. My latest ETA is next Wednesday to receive them. That should get all pre-orders out by Friday if accurate.
  7. I actually did very few 5XL shirts, but didn't bring in any for stock as I didn't realize that my customers are such big dudes
  8. Props to Fi for doing the testing and not selling a product they feel is inferior!
  9. All the guys that have the huge shirts seem to be okay with them - the 3x and 4x look about 2-3" taller. For example... Brandon is 6'2" tall and his shirt is a large.
  10. *laughs* No, thats not me - that is Brandon, the guy with the Bronco / the newest employee here (read: victim).
  11. Sundown Audio Shirts Available Available in the following sizes / pricing: Shipped prices in continental 48 states. Small -- $15 shipped Medium -- $16 shipped Large -- $16 shipped XL -- $18 shipped XXL -- $20 shipped XXXL -- $21 shipped XXXXL -- $22 shipped Paypal to [email protected]
  12. 43 - this Bronco simply doesn't meter good at all, no matter what we put in it. Meters about the same with the three Nightshade 15s.
  13. Still image of our extra dBeeZ. Friend of ours who happens to be at least somewhat interested in stereos.
  14. * Video of the Bronco playing with our secret extra 2/10ths of a dB siting on top. Our extra dBeez wants booty shorts and a tank top too *laughs*
  15. Glad the pic helped you out audiofanaticz This thing is moving a ridiculous amount of air out of the port *laughs* Now, once we build a decent box for a different vehicle it should do some pretty good numbers.
  16. Indeed - I think the low 140s are a stick point for these vehicles. His roof has three huge cracks in it from the bass - its like paper! His seems to be peaking at 51 Hz too.
  17. Brandon's Bronco simply doesn't meter high - but this sub on the 3000D metered almost exactly like the three Nightshade 15s -- 143.5 dB Need to try in a different vehicle for some good numbers. Starting to think this Bronco simply won't meter above this level no matter what *laughs* We played around with it for about an hour an it's doing fine so far.
  18. We are going to see if we can get it in a vehicle tonight for some more testing. The test box is by no means good on the meter, but we may post numbers anyway.
  19. * Launching card-board off the port w/ an E8 coil (copper) on it. Actually did take a while to find the little coil * Holds cardboard against the ceiling from port air movement, 2400-watts clamped power on a sine wave * Knocking one roll of tape off the port * Two rolls of tape now (still processing as I post) * Playing around a bit with the sub on music
  20. It hasn't been in a box yet Once testing gets going I'll have some stuff.
  21. Got some specs with very little break-in time w/ the 8-layer round coil and 5 spiders: Specs in series: Re = 1.76 ohms Fs = 44.3 Hz Qes = 0.38 Qms = 14.52 Qts = 0.37 Le = 3.87 mH Vas = 20.69 L Bl = 24.40 N/A Cms = 27.67 uM/N Sens = 88.56 1w/1m A *very* usable parameter set with the full 5-spider suspension - not bad I played it at a low excursion level for just a minute or two so it's barely broken in at all - so the Fs is going to drop a bit more. I also don't have the dust cap on yet (will make a very tiny difference).
  22. A few guys on caraudio.com had a similar issue - I think that because the glue is extremely hard it eventually cuts away the spider at the joint if the drivers are continually pushed to more than their design intention level of excursion. I don't think that would happen with their suggested 1000 watts RMS
  23. Indeed, it is that wide - may just look narrow at that angle.
