  1. for amps you ALWAYS fuse them right before the positive wire goes into the amp. Usually a good rule of thumb is a foot to 3 feet from the amps positive wire you should have it fused. Now the fuse rating depends on the size wire you are using. Fuses are meant to protect the wire more than your equipment. So if its 1/0 gauge wire you are running, it should be something like a 250 amp fuse for a 20-25 foot run.

The one going between your two batteries NEEDS to be fused on both ends. So you will run a fuse 1-3 feet from the battery in the front and another fuse 1-3 feet from the rear battery.

I am confused why you wouldn't fuse the wire going to the amp near the battery.

Oh crap good call. lmao see what working all day can do to you?

OP, you should take the fuse for both your amps and put them as close to the amp as possible. So for both your amps, just use one fuse and put it as close to the amp as you possibly can (1-3 feet is the usual distance rule)

I thought from battery to amp you put the fuse closer to the battery! Thats how i did it for all my installs so am i wrong? I have one battery in my car and im running 1/0 gauge to the back and the fuse is within 3f of the battery and theres not fuse near the amp. Should I switch it around? Or should I add another fuse near the amp and leave the one near the battery to be safe?

  2. Awee dammit !! This is why I failed my chemistry test I did on tuesday for grade 10 science (I'm 16) LOL

    Active Chem? Lol jk :)

If you're taking Chemistry this year, I'm guessing you took Physics last year? Here in NY, physics your freshman year is "advanced"

Nope! Im taking Physics right now! It's actually optics but I guess its similar to Physics? I think the Canadian system is different.

Oh, its really different in Canada. Physics and Chemistry are two completely different classes here.

Haha yea I think when I edited my post above your post I added that in :) But is it separate from when you start from the beginning at high school? Or is it all generalized and called "science" with all units for the first two years like it is here?

EDIT: Next year Science is no longer called science in Canadian high schools and it changes to different categories like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc. I'm taking Chem and Physics next year and I have a feeling it's gonna be a bitch ! hahah :P

  4. dihydrogen monoxide = HO ?

The "di" means two. Two H's, one O. aka H2O. Aka water

I always get confused when the "di" is on the first element ... but can you but a "mono, di, tri, etc" on

the first element? Or is it just metals that your cant do that with?

Shit man, I took honors chemistry two years ago. I forgot all that stuff!

Haha true cause I was confused because I remember my teacher saying something it

  5. You gotta start somewhere. Looks good man. And you want to go with the rms value, ALWAYS. Maxx ratings are a selling point. You'll NEVER see those numbers. The only thing you can really do is play around with box positioning, maybe add a little power, but not much to those.

The best way t get louder in your situation is to upgrade subs and amp. :)

Yea thanks man I'm thinking about upgrading the amp to maybe 500wrms and keep the gain in the middle

you got the 32 valve northstar 4.6 right? i test drove one of those things and they got some balls. nice car wish i would have bought one

and yea man this car is FAST !! I have the DTS so its the 4.6 300HP !!
