stock right now. planning on upgrading to a 280amp dc or dual alternators.

planning on upgrading to a 280 amp dc. or i might possibly do a dual alt bracket. and i just found out my truck dosnt have the dual battery pans. i was thinking of my dads avalanche apparently

yeah thats why i was wondering it does have the plate for two batts id just have to modify the plate and the wireing hopefully. if not ill run one d3100 and 1 d3400

Pretty sure he only has 1 1 d3100 will fit with some work would the d3400's be able to handle 4000 watts with 1 as a primary batt?.

would it be possible to fit two d3100's under the hood in a 2002 chevy silverado 4.8 v8. or would i have to mount one in the cab. im looking at 1 d3100 as a main and partially for the system and the second d3100 for the system only

couldnt you make some kind of preassure or force mount by like hanging the plate off of some pieces of wood. sorry if not detailed enough. kind of like a sleeve almost

beginners luck i guess lol. the most i have wired in my friend's cars is like 1200 watts so its fairly simple fusing and wire. but i have looked across a few build and kinda saw what they did for fusing.

just remember dc makes alternators which make dc power to charge your battery. ac audio speakers need ac power to run

first you need to determine what airspace your subs need. the amount will differ for a ported box and a sealed box. next measure what space you have to work with then use a box calculator to find out how big your box will have to be. but if you do ported you have to figure in port volume. and you also have to think of woofer displacement http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/box_wizard.asp. as for the 10's amazon crutchfield or search the sale threads on here I heard that ported sounds better, but every car sounds different.. backwards. sealed has better sq whereas ported is louder. Well I don't want to kill my car with just all bass and no actual music. true i think sealed would be the way to go then

About 350 So how long we going to have to wait for this build? the early steps will hopefully begin this year (deck and door speakers) the more expensive steps like the two amps and sub i would hope to do sometime next year. ill be graduating midterm next year so ive got a good 6 months to work and save money full time
