  1. sorry about that im asking why the plug would lose its gap while in the motor. and i was wondering if the bbs could be part of the plug. its in a 2 stroke motor so idk if it might be part of the reed valve
  2. i know its not pertaining to a car but my question is why would my spark plug have no gap and lots of little metal bbs getting jammed into it. its on a 2003 yamaha blaster. i can ride it for a bit then it just dies out. so would it be overheating. a bad plug. piston or valve damage or something worse.

  4. im pretty confident about most of it. i just suck with wood for some reason. but of course i need a lot of wood for my build. i hate to imagine when ill have to put it in the truck.
  5. mostly myself. im sure i can do the wiring and the door speakers plus head-unit pretty easily. it would be the box and amprack along with the alternators i would need help to do.maybe a little bit of help with the deadener
  6. btw this will be my first system thats why i need a little bit of advice on what to choose
  7. id have to to look around some more. how do you guys feel about the ia dp 21 i know i could do it for sure in 10 cubes
  8. does any one know what kind of airspace i would be looking at for those btl's. because if the ia's need 18 cubes like in the vid on the page i wont be able to do them. id need to try to pull off the 2 18's in about 10 cubes
  9. what would be some good middle of the line monoblocks
  10. well i figure that the ia's are probobly cheaper than Btls and smds
  11. im just kinda looking for a ballpark estimate. im looking at high quality wire. but im looking to start with middle of the line amps. probably two death penalty 18's they aren't priced too badly
  12. i am looking to put 2 18,s in a 2002 extended cab silverado. would 5K-6K be a good estimate for 1-2 alts. 2 batteries. flip-out head-unit. box. fiberglass. 4 door speakers 2 mono-blocks and a 4 channel amp. im looking at proboly 4k watts for whatever 18's i get and 1k watts for the highs.
  13. please call it either a high pass filter or subsonic filter It's xplod Sorry, I just can't stand it when people use the phrase bass blocker or spell sony xplod wrong. lol. Just 2 pointless pet peeves, sorry 140 watts max Probably more like 30-50 watts RMS sounds about right. i just find if funny that there is no mid-bass. so im trying to talk my mom into getting a pro-box or a bazooka tube since she doesn't want hard bass she just wants some bass
  14. i would find a review of the store and a review of the brand. but personally i wont buy amps from amazon again. the only amp i ever ordered from them came to me fried to all hell. it was from a store called the price pros
  15. i find they have good treble but get absolutely no mid-bass. so idk if its the way the dumb asses at the audio shop installed them a few years ago or if its just the speakers. What about the headunit? Is it factory? Could have a built in high pass. I've also found from experience speakers other than subs sound alot better when given the correct power or slightly under power when they are cheaper. My opinoin. I'm using Pioneer 4x6s and 6.5s from wal-mart and I have them on a pioneer amp and I mess with the gain alot. I also know where it clips because I've set it with an o-scope. Did they put bass blockers inline with the positive on the speaker? I know best buy does that to cover their ass so you won't blow your speakers by turning the damn bass all the way up and trying to play 32hz through your sony explaud [someone will know] 6x9's that take 200watts. Sorry if that's kind of blah blah blah like and confusing, but that's exactly what came to mind. nah its not confusing and yes factory head unit. its got no amps. and im pretty sure the factory unit wouldnt overpower the speakers their rated for 140 watts i think

  17. i just found out that my moms door speakers were changed out to total mobile audio speakers like these. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_18640_Total_Mobile_Audio_T52F2.aspx ve never heard of them before and i would like to know if they are any good or not.
  18. how many watts are you looking at running
  19. i made a video explaining how to use a computer powersupply to run car audio equipment. you can run amps radios and anything else that needs dc power. or you can go meade style and make a test bench with it
