The VVX-10v2's are very responsive and handle the range of low frequency's very nicely. Overall they can get loud and low while sounding great - so far our customers running VVX-10v2s have voiced only great reviews

Skar Audio Headquarters Facility Tour!
skaraudio replied to skaraudio's topic in SKAR AUDIO - (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)
At least put a curtain over the windows on the door with 2 homedepot locks on it especially with that dyno sitting right there That is an interior door - no locks needed. We have very tight security for the outer entrance ways though :-) -

Yesterday we went out to day 1 of SlamFest in Gainesville, FL which is about 2 hours from our HQ Office in Tampa, FL. We brought the Skar Audio Escalade but the real show was around our impressive turn out of great customers and their vehicles! I got to meet quite a lot of new Skar Audio faces as well as catch up with old ones. SlamFest 2013 was much busier this year than last year, and I hope that is only a positive trend going forward. It was definitely a great time and we got a ton of loud demo's! Unfortunately we were not able to make it to day 2 today (Sunday), but here are some pictures from the event as well as a demo video I put together briefly of all the demo's I got from Skar Customers :-) Thank you for everyone who came out, and I look forward to meeting more of you next year! Pictures Videos Coming soon...

Skar Audio Headquarters Facility Tour!

I'd prefer not to, and don't take it the wrong way, but it goes hand in hand with keeping security tight :-). We do have state of the art security systems in place, but flaunting numbers isn't a good idea either, I hope you understand Didn't think of that. Lets just settle on ALOT? Sound good? Lol Sounds good to me -

i believe he said in the youtube video it will be getting metered soon or metered at slamfest. so we will see. I hope I can get one of my guys to take the Escalade to SlamFest - I had planned on going for awhile and actually have a hotel booked in Gainesville for the event, but times clashed unexpectedly and have to host some clients for business the same weekend so I won't be able to make it now Regardless we will get it on a meter and post results in the near future, things have been so busy here lately its crazy! P.S. - Thanks Steve -Kevin

Hi Guys, We have been getting a lot of requests lately from customers to tour the Skar Audio Head Quarters here in Tampa, FL. Unfortunately for security reasons, we do not really offer to many tours, and I hope one day this can change, but nonetheless I wanted to offer you all a first hand look at the entire operation we have down here in sunny Tampa! We have about 6,000 SQ Feet and are in our own building in which we moved to about 7 months ago. We have not been here for a great deal of time, so please don't mind parts that are a little messy. In about 6 months I will update this thread with new pictures, at which time I am sure the whole place will be packed! 1800 SQ FT of this building is our offices and misc rooms, and 4200 is warehouse. We made an almost 12 minute video in which I gave a first hand tour, which is in the process of being uploaded to YouTube now. Once that is uploaded, we will add it to this thread, so stay tuned! Thanks for continuing to support Skar Audio - we owe everything to our customers who have helped us grow so quickly and it looks like going into this Holiday season things are busier then ever, and we appreciate your help in getting us there! Video Coming Soon.... Pictures

We will have this vehicle out at SlamFest next weekend. The windshield was not cracked by hand but indeed the bass. On that note - there is no reinforcement above the interior (except deadner) or a center "bar" to reduce flex as some SPL Vehicles have. We have a lot of fun with this vehicle, and that was the primary reason behind making this video :-)

Got cut short on pictures, but nonetheless was able to snap a few during the installation on this 2004 Jeep Wrangler. Full Skar Audio System was put in as well as replacing the factory head unit. We used the all new VD-8's in a sealed enclosure for the sub stage powered by a LP-750.1D and it sounded extremely clean. We did a pair of SPX4 Coaxials Up front in place of the factory speakers and then a pair of SPX525 (new high performance components just released) in the rear speaker bar to fit the factory sizes. We took the tweeter from the components and mounted it in the front with the coaxial so that no cutting was needed. Turned out great and sounded wonderful!
