  1. Still wondering how imma bolt to the car and im wondering how u attatch panels? to the side of the box im guessing? How do I do that? just glue and resin? I dont reall wanna screw into the port side of m box?
  2. Ok I saw it I like that Also anyone know if in the back the jeeps light fixture can come off? I can tune a little lower (aiming for 35hz) and probably make this a little easier if so. If not I might put a red LED in it to shine on my amps and stuff when the hatch is open mights as well improvise right?
  3. How would I tie it into my seat belt bolts? They're under my seat! lol im not trying to get rid of my back seat like I said... Ugh this seems like it might be too difficult :-/
  4. How would I tie it into my seat belt bolts? They're under my seat! lol im not trying to get rid of my back seat like I said... Ugh this seems like it might be too difficult :-/
  5. What happens when I take the box out? I'll have 3 big holes in my floor I dont like the sound of that and Doh can I please get a build log link?!
  6. Yeah I'll probably go that route... How do I go about measuring beauty panel trim for the sides? To make it fit to the side of my jeep... I dont want foam all over my shit but I want it as sealed as I can get it. Is there any type of material I can lay down on the flooor and sides so I can just satke it out after and i wont have glue and shit everywhere? I'm going to do the 2 box build and bolt them together for sure. I'm now sure how I'd go about bolting it to my vehicle and I have ZERO welding skills, I want my jeep to be usable after the least I have to tear out/cutup and ruin the better.
  7. Doh so you built 2 seperate boxes and combined them? seems like a really good idea honestly... I am still trying to figure out how im goign to build this box since it will NOT slide in after so that means I have to do what DOH did or build it INSIDE my jeep. Im really nervous about this haha. I mihgt just do the 2 boxes build screw them together and add a baffle on the back to sturdy it up sound good?
  8. Okay man thanks for the advice I don't see a problem so just cut a piece of .75 MDF maybe resin it up a bit and stick it irght in the middle? seems like a plan I'm going to be putting the front of the box on last of course so I can do almost anything needed bracing wise. This is going to be a big project my first wall... I hope it goes wall I need all the advice I can get.
  9. Yeah I like that Idea I might redesign for the port to be in the middle with a brace lengthwise in the port like suggest (I'll make port a little bigger compensate. and I'll add cross braces 1 per subwoofer (1 in between each set O o O like that) and 1 accross each beam. I'm not tuning that low I guess Ihave to tune somewhat high since my box isn't big enough. I'm going to be about 37hz can anyone tell me if this will still hit low? I'm assuming power/cone area wise it should still do hair tricks? With a single 18" tuned to 28hz off 1600rms I was doing tiny hair tricks.
  10. I have 2 DC Level 3 15's with extra spiders, running about 750RMS ea. It's loud but I want more but in order to do that I'd have to wall and keeping my back seats are a MUST (i hate 2 seater vehicles i'd buy a car if I wanted that) Max Dimensions: 36H x 20-22D x 43W The back of my Jeep is weird theres a light fixture that comes out at the top of the rear hatch and it makes it so I have to cut about 6 inches off my depth because the hight cannot be consistant. If anyone can design something with a slant at the back of the box that'd be awesome. But for now I have to work around it with only 18-20" of Depth (I want to keep about 3 inches from the seat to the subwoofer to account for excursion and amp mounting. I want no higher than 35hz and I want about 15-16sq inches of port and I require about 12cft (3 per subwoofer) I'm going to be running all 4 off about 4000w (give or take, more ore less probably going to run a 2.5k DC or a 3500 AQ.) I plan on having a 14.4v system (270xp DC, 2 XS3400's in the back and 1 XS1200 in the front.) I'm thinking I'll have to make a L slot ported design since theres not enough hight to do a port at the bottom or top. This is going to be a DAILY bumper not a SPL competitor I want to do hair tricks and scare people I dont care about numbers lower = better. So heres my design I'm going to build a big box enclosure and make beauty trim panels to seal it off and im going to use them for 6.5's and tweeters. (going to have 1 6.5 per door, 2 tweets up front and 4 6.5's and 4 tweets in the back.) I cannot slide the box in so the only option is building the box IN my jeep (can anyone recommend material to lay down on the floor of my jeep so I dont get glue etc. on my jeep while I build it. I'm thinking if I can about taking the light fixture in the back off altogether I'll have to scope it out. Heres the Specs: Port length is 17" depth of box is 22" I just dont want to buy all 4 subs and wood if I cannot build a box in my jeep... I want a wall really bad but 5.5 width port seems small? but it's 34.5in tall. any esuggestions recommendations etc/
  11. Stick with Level 3's you don't want to buy used Level 4's Level 3's will take about 1000rms daily anyways. I wouldnt do more than 800 to them though each.
  12. Nah TeamHT is just a fag that nobody likes and he rages because of it don't pay mind to him and that FreekDesigns guy is obviously just being a rager today. OTher than that theres a lot of cool guys a few jerk a few elitists but everyone board has those, welcome man
  13. ok im doing 2 15's for now off 1600rms. then I'm going to add 2 more in a wall behind my 2nd row seats and throw about 3500 to all 4 once broken in and I will build box to minimum vented spec to allow more power. Going with about 15inches of port 4 subs on bottom port on top or port on bottom? and also selling my 18" for $300 shipped once I fix it if anyones interested.
  14. I'm not set on the 18's I'm doing the 15's for two reasons... Money, upgradability, space and honestly I've had a 15" Fi SSD off about 800-1000rms tuned @ 35hz and it was LOUD like damn close to my 18" loud. I like the 18 for the WOW factor but I think 3-4 15's in the rear would be a bigger wow factor. I might even do a c piller wall if I have to. But yeah I think I'll sell the 18" after I fix it and just go with 2 15's for now I don't have money to buy a 2nd 18 AND fix my current one. and hey if the recone is FREE that means I just make profit off it and dont have to pay anything towards it. I might just turn around and sell it for a DC 2.0K or something. I know for a fact I can fit 3 15's behind my seat regularly and I know for a fact I can fit 2 18's behind my seat properly. But I think 3 15's would be a lot louder only thing is 2 18's can do 3000rms 3 15's can only do a max of 2400rms cause I'm going for daily. So in theory wouldnt 2 18's be louder than 3 15's? I would have to get 4 in my jeep >.< :-p thats 3200rms.
  15. Well the thing that pisses me off is I never beat on this sub and it blew I dont know if it was my fault or his. But the thing is not everything warrantyable and I would have to spend $30-40 just to send it in then wait for an answer/quote then pay for it and wait to have it sent back. I don't care about the logo etc. I got a good discount on the DC's REALLY GOOD about $80-$100 cheaper that's why I was concidering going with them. My question is if I can fit 2 18's easier than 3-4 15's and what would be louder for space etc. not if I can get this warrantied lol. If I fucked the subwoofer up then its not under warranty man and chances are hes gonna tell me I did. I know off about 5cft ea my 18's will do the job. I dunno im up in the ropes guys! they're just so expensive $400 for 1 18" or $350 for 2 15" haha.
  16. I will be running about 800-1000rms to each 15" btw but for daily I'll do about 800rms a piece. and I'll tune as high as 35-36hz if I have to would prefer to be in the 33-34 range.
  17. My sub does 1600rms easily lmfao... It does 1000rms on 1 coil for like 5-10 minutes before it starts seeing heat. and sorry I told prices jesus everyone else has been lately. and PSI warrants their stuff there is apossiblity I get a free recone but I'm going to look at this incase I do have to pay $220 I'd rather have some bump then wait and all that besides ive always wanted 15's and DC. But then again if it's not possible to fit more than 2 15's behind my seat I'll just get the 2 18's i want what will be louder with what room I have. So I'm up in the ropes.
  18. I currently have a PSI 18" that does 1600RMS daily. I blew it and I'm sending it in to david soon to fix only thing is Recone will cost me about $220 including shipping fee's and everything. So I was thinking maybe i'll sit on it for awhile and with my next check get Two 15" Level 3's with spider upgrades (2 spiders ea) for $360 shipped. Somewhere down the road I would be fixing and selling my 18" for $350 and getting TWO more 15" Level 3's. Question is I dont know what I can fit easier 2 18's or 3-4 15's haha. 43w x 28d x 24h That's the best I can do without walling and ports would have to be aimed up this way. I believe it's about 13-14cft. I think I can only fit 3 in the back was gonna do all facing up with ports up. I know 2 of my 18's would be about 12-13cft which would barely fit. Also could someone help design me a box for 2 15" DC level 3's off 1500rms daily. Subs up port back.
  19. Yeah I know on my Jeep when I used an ipod its automatically louder you have to set CD SLA to +2 just to match it.
  20. I want to buy a 2kw amplifier preferable something like Cadence 2000.1D, Sundown SAZ-1500.1D, Audiopipe 1800.1D, m2a 2000.1D. I'm also looking for a 4 channel preferably same brand nothing too crazy only going to be running about 200RMS in speakers @ 2 ohm. I'm also looking for good RCA's that bend.
  21. I don't see why this is a bad trade? 8" Level 3's are like $150 a piece. If he got 3 that's like $450 in subwoofer compared to his one $230 subwoofer. Plus 3 8's will get a lot louder imo and be better for a truck I'd go with 8's.
