  1. Sounds like a bad connection , The amp on the radio is going into protect, but that doesnt shut off the output of the rca's.So thats why your sub plays but the highs dont . If you put the radio in, make sure all connections are good, and that there is no strands of wire that could be touching metal or another speaker wire behind the deck . If thats all good , then you could have a poor connection at one of the speakers, or possible a bad speaker . Try disconnecting 1 at atime and see if you can get it to shut off when you hit a pothole or whatever. usually if its a factory connection and no one has ever touched it or spliced it, they usually dont go bad. Try tat and let us know what you have found.

  2. Ya its not going to be a converter, they rarely go bad .But it sounds like the 02 sensor went bad. A slow response does not mean you are running rich. Seriously you guys are picking things out of your asses, if you dont know or even have a clue ,you should probably not say anything . Best thing to do is clear the code, and see if it comes back on .If it does, then it needs to be hooked to a scanner to see the actual 02 readings . Or you could take the chance and replace the sensor . Your call.

  3. I'm sick of getting crappy results from enclosures in my 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GT, so I wanna say F it and do a wall, but I want to keep everything legal. In my state of Pennsylvania it is illegal to not be able out the back of the vehicle.

So I am thinking about running a horizontal port across the top and putting a nice slab of 12"H x 36"W 1" plexiglass on the back so I can see out behind me.

Does this realistic? I just want to be loud!

I wanna do two dc audio m2 xl 18's when they come out.

Let me know what you think people!

What are crappy results? what equipment were you using? I know of 2 designs that are killer in that car.

  4. Subs forward port towards pass side were the best results i have ever gotten. Sometimes its tough to build it this way, but has always been worth it.

Those best results on the meter or overall sound quality in the truck? I'm not looking to compete at all I just want the best sound to the ear

Loudest to ear, i never put them on the meter.most builds were just for daily.

  5. I'm going to be getting two Skar VVX15s, seening about 600 - 800 watts rms, along with four 6.5 coaxial speakers running off a MBQuart ONIX80.4. This is all going in a 1994 Mazda B3000.

    My questions are:

    1) Will the stock alt and battery be enugh?

    2) Would a battery bank affect the cold cranking amps?

    3) What should I look for in a good battery for a battery bank? (Xs batteries are not an option, due to shipping)

Put a big Xs power batt under hood ..do ur big three in sum good ofc 1/0 and to ur amps and you'll be good....make sure u have solid groundsj!

I like how you say xs is NOT an option, yet the next post( sactown) says to get a xs under the hood. Did you eeven read his post? LOL.So sanchez, are there any other power cells avalible ? Like kinetic, or atleast a yellow top?
