for the back you should have a spring over axel setup so you could lower the back with just some lifting blocks. that or google the ranger station and you should be able to find ideas on there

ok so i'm starting my build tread and it might be too early but whatever. i hace a 1994 chevy 1500 and i want to do a custom build in it. to start im doing the big 3 first. i want to get a high out put alt and another battery. i plan on doing two 8's in the back haven't decided on a brand yet its between dc and skar. i already have an audiopipe 1500 watt amp. dont know what speakers im going to run either, and im working on getting a deck. this will be my first build thread and personal build too. now for some pics truck the day i got it in the process of doing the big three

makes sense. i've heard that 4th orders are better with a 1:1 ratio, is that true? if so i was tinking of doing it with 3 cubes sealed and 3 cubes ported. and what frequency would i want to port it at so i could hit some pretty low notes?

how would you built a 4th order "right"?

would two 8" vvx subs sound good in a fourth order? want to upgrade from the mtx's i have now and wanted to get some 8's to replace them with so opinions welcome

Ok so I'm looking at either getting a audiopipe 1500 or an Mb quart 1500 looking to get some opinions on the amps just want to see what people have to say about the quality of the amps.

does the autotek mean machine series do rated or no? thanks for the advice on the amps. got some ideas and looking into them to see what i like or could possable get

ok so my amp that i had in my truck took a dump on me and im looking for a new one. im looking to spend between 100 to 200 dollars and i would like the amp to put out 1200 or more watts rms. will not buy refurb again thats what the last one was. i was looking at a power acoistik bamf 4000/1d amp. but open to suggestions

So it turns out its the amp. tried a dual 4 channel in place and turned on fine and was putting out sound so im in the process of sending the amp to the warrenty company now

Ok I know it is nothing special but i thought i would start a thread on my truck. It's a 1994 ford explorer. pritty basic looking and a pritty basic system. i have two 12 inch MTX thunder 5500's and a power acouistiks 2000 watt amp (that is acting up at the moment) I also have some sony explode 5x7 door speaker in it right now. I want to eventually upgrade the system and lift my truck as well. but right now moneys tight so I just have to work with what i have. Just wanted to see what people thought right now, but im not looking to get criticized for what i have.

amp still only puts sound out some times. it turns on when i start the truck but in the middle of my drive today it decided to start playing.

I have a jvc head unit and its a power acouistik stax 2000/1 amp

no i didnt i have my rcas and remote wire runing down the drivers side and power down the pass. i have put my dmm to it and got over 12 volts to power and remote wires. the amp chooses when to turn on and when not to. could this probably be a problem with the amp itself? power wire remote

ok so i remounted my ground. heres some pics so you can see. the subs still make the noise every now and then mainly when im on the freeway going over road bumps at fas speeds. and the subs have always thumped when they turn on since ive had this amp. i still dont know whats going on and would still appriciate some advice

So recently my amp has started to make a bunch of noise come out of my subs. I have disconnected the RCA cables and it will still make the noise. I'm thinking it has something to do with the rem wire. But I'm not quite sure what it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. And if I can tomorrow or tonight if they do it again I'll shoot a video of it.
