  1. SPL stands for SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL, DB stands for DECIBEL. 140 DB's are louder than 130 DB's. LPF stands for LOW PASS FILTER. If you have your LPF set to 80 hz then your sub will only play frequencies up to 80 hz. HPF stands for HIGH PASS FILTER. If you have your HPF set to 80 hz then yours speakers won't play any note under 80 hz. These are amp features that allow dial in the exact range that you want your speakers to reproduce. HZ stands for Hertz which is a measurement of frequency. 45 HZ is the bass note that usually makes your rearview mirror vibrate uncontrollaby, and say 12,000 hz would be a cymbal clash or a high hat IE a very high frequency note.
