  1. Well this is a long shot but....you couldn't do one for $120 shipped to 35806 could you? I have the money ready right now. Thanks! P.S. You would have my love, no homo.
  2. Ah I see. Well I'll definitely keep that in mind (not that one exactly though lol) if no one else has a great answer! Thanks Again!
  3. Haha No worries, I sort of knew what you were thinking there. But if no one comes up with a phenomenal answer then I will test it out.
  4. Hmm I have a hifonics eq, but two potentiometers are broke of so I need to fix them, but I don't think It has an input....but I dont think that your plan would work to well because the EQ gets it's signal from the HU? Correct me if I'm wrong though? lol Yea, I was going to see on my stock Calvalier head unit before I mess up this 90 buck one. It seems that this guy got it to work nicely on his RX-8 stock Head Unit so I assume it won't be terribly difficult on this Clarion. Here's the guys link, RX-8 Aux Input Install not all eq's do. mine had what was labeled as DVD and aux and it was a little switch that would switch between the two rca inputs. i guess i should have asked if you had a highs amp first I believe I do, but it's an oldddd Virtual Reality amp so I might upgrade that to something of better quality and higher power. But I will look into the EQ and see if I can find one that I like that has it! Thanks for the tip!
  5. You missed the point haha, I'm going to install a carputer...Which will be like a double din but 10000 better (imo) but I still want to retain the Clarion radio for many reasons. I rather not have a 7" touch screen AND a double din HU lol I'm also on a budget so I can't go out buying Head Units lol

  7. Ok, so this might sound obscene or completely stupid but I would like to know if it can be done. First off, I plan on, eventually, doing a Carputer. So I have a Clarion CZ500 HU that does have a Aux Input on the face of it but not one on on the rear of the deck. I was wondering if there was some way to solder on a second Aux input (to the mobo of the HU), by branching off the main Aux-input, to the Clarion. Now I know this sounds stupid and feel free to criticize but I would like to know if this can be done. I am very familiar with electronics so no worries on soldering, testing, prodding, ect. The main reason I would like to do this is to be able to maintain the front aux free for an Ipod/Mp3/ect and have a Aux input in the back so I can maintain a neat look and not having to unplug and replug the carputer back in the front Aux port. I just would like to know if anyone has done it and/or if anyone knows off the top that it's not to hard to do. I figure I could do continuity test to find where to put the input but that's just a guess. If you need any more info, feel free to ask. Feel free to hate to. I'm open for it.
  8. Do you have any feedback anywhere? And what is the resting voltage on the kinetic 1200? Thanks
  9. Me either, at least from what I read, as long as it's over the minimum then I believe it'll be ok, but other than that is it ok?
  10. Ok how about this? lol Or am I lacking something else? (Dont worry about the double baffle for the moment)
  11. Lol yea thats why i wasnt worried about putting that in, but It'll raise the tunning to 33, so ill have to remake the model and get it back down to 32. And would you think 2 1" dowels would be good? One that goes from the base to the top (ceiling if you will) and one that goes from the front (where the sub is) to the rear? I'll remake it and see what you think!
  12. Ok re-did the box, added the 45's in there and calculated their displacement, should be good to go now. If someone could check me and see that im right that would be awesome! Thanks again y'all!
  13. Maybe that was for two, I'll check here in a few lol
  14. yow will need to add 2 for shared port walls & aslo put 4.57 in the desired net volume(gross volume subtract port volume)brings you down to 30.41hz ...i have noticed that boxed that are 45 do sound better and get louder......not sure on the specs for your sub but after you fix it if 30.5 hz ok. it looks good to me if it will work 4 you So two more baffles because I have a shared port walls?? And 30.5hz a little too low, I was shooting for more of a 32hz area. And I guess I'll add some 45's in there. But if I add two 45's in there then it'll probably raise raise the tunning to 32 hz correct? you actually have 3 common port walls. and the only way to figure out what the 45's will do is if you add them in there. the12volt.com has a pretty good calculator for that if you need exact numbers Ohh i thought you were talking about adding 2 more baffles lol But yea, I'll have to measure them out and whatnot....I don't have an angle saw unfortunately though. I think i can come up with something though. I think the 45's take up about .14 each if i added it up right, but ill add it up again and see, now what about bracing? I'm planning on using 1' wood dowels, ill make another drawing.

  16. Hmm I was thinking about the double baffle last night too, and yea, I was contemplating the 45's, I've been reading that some people say it didnt matter, some say it did as usuall lol. And you mean flush mount as in the sub will be mounted on the first baffle and the second baffle will go on top of the sub? (if that makes sense? lol) But my main question is, did i get the port length correct? (as Torres calculator said it should be?) Thanks!
  17. Hea y'all, I just need someone to check over what I have done so I know I'm doing everything correctly. I would also like your opinions on this (ex. Whether or not it will do justice in the given situation and ect). The plan is to but this in the back of a Cadillac Deville 2000 and fire it toward the trunk (sub will be firing in the same direction of the port to!). It will be holding a AQ Copper Coil HDC3 15" sub with a Elemental Designs Nine.1. I would like to know if I need bracing, if I picked the right frequency to tune the box, but most off all I would LOVE to know if I calculated the port length right? lol Here's the pics. Here's what I came up with: This is what i have designed: Thanks! If I missed something, just let me know!
  18. Most insurance companies will not insure aftermarket car audio unless you specifically pay for it and it is permanently affixed "Bolted down". Always good to provide them a list of equipment and pictures also. Ahh good to know! Thanks!
