  1. You would be best off saving up and buying your own car, and from there you can modify /rip apart the car to stop rattle's or whatever is wrong with it.

^^this, dont do mods to dadys car. my dad bought me a car so i could do what ever the fuck i wanted when i was 14 so i didnt fuck his up lol

I get what you are saying, and totally agree. I plan on doing so when I save up the money, but it still doesn't fix the various noises :cray:

Besides, I don't see fixing squeaks, rattles, and whistles as any major mods.

u might be suprised.. getting all the rattles out might be the biggest mod you do to it depending where they r and how u get to them...

    Dang.

I am just going to try something basic and see if it works, it seems like the issue is with the fact that the doors are held on by clips, and the clips don't hold the door panels steady enough. I am going to put some foamy tape that I have laying around in there and see if that helps. If it is any more than that, I will take your word for it and just drop the project.

I was able to stop the whistling in the trunk. It was from holes around the sides of the panels. A bit of tape and problem solved.

I am in the process of doing so now. It doesn't mean that I can't help out and make a parent's car actually sound good. (Besides, if I make him happy, he will be more willing to match me for pricing when I buy one)

  4. it didnt quote what i wanted it to the first time

Well, if your dad wants to pay for it, get some dynamat or secondskin and start hitting areas one at a time. When you find a rattle, dynamat the hell out of it. Find another one? Dynamat the hell out of it lol. As for the cupholders and stuff, you might have to try some more creative solutions. For example, I put Neoprene (foamy tape stuff) on the back of my license plate. It doesn't rattle anymore.

that right there... but you have to rip the car apart to put up the mat...

just try turning the bass all the way down, in the - if it can... and see if that fixes the issues, its probably distorted to all fuck

Thanks. As for turning the bass down, to get an idea of what it sounds like when it doesn't rattle(Zero bass, even the slightest bit makes it rattle) unplug your sub, then set the high pass for your mids at 225hz. It sounds SO bad.

On the other hand, he said that I can take his door panels off (but no more than spending 1 hour at a time on it in case he needs to go some where with the car)

How to I get door panels off that are clip on?

  5. I drove my dad's '08 highlander hybrid yesterday... It has the premium JBL system in it. I turned it on, and immediately turned it off because of the sound. Literally, EVERYTHING in the car rattles, even the sub-woofer in the trunk 'whistles' at certain frequencies. It rattles so bad, I don't even know where to begin with it... Cup holders, the door panels themselves, window switches, pieces of the seat... I can barely hear the music, rather lots of rattling in beat with the music... Help?

P.S. I'm 16, so no pulling apart the car for days to fix it. It's my dad's daily driver.

  6. i think what STEvil is tryin to say is the coils can only take that kind of abuse for a short time like for compititions. if u try to run that kind of power to them all the time on music it will probly kill them quik. but if u split that 8k watts between them they should be ok

So the website specs are inflated? 8500w rms handling = 8500 peak?

No. I'm sure the xxx can handle 10k rms on burps. Is just not smart to run that for daily music . Is what they are saying .

    Thanks for clearing that up.

I always thought that rms meant constant power, not peak. 'Learn something new every day, I guess.

  8. Right... So I was bored one day watching Youtube, killing some time... I saw some soundstream subs. I went to their website and saw their xxx series.I noted that the power handling was 8500 watts. Can these handle the power?

I also decided to design a box for them, again because I was so bored. It came out to be 9.5 cubic feet (after displacement of everything in it) with 6, 6" aeroports tuned to 38 hz. I can also plug 2 of them and bring the tuning down to 31 hz.

As for port arrangement, I was planning on putting one on each of the 4 corners of the baffle, and 2 down the middle in between the subs.

The whole thing is to be cut from 1.5" mdf, and reinforced with 2x4s on the inside.

Then I got thinking: This could fit in a trunk, and I may actually want to do this in the future.

Can these subs really handle 8500 watts apiece? If so, I envision 16kw of subs in the trunk sometime in the future (evil grin)

  9. Make an account on XboxMB and post in the SaveGame modding section as a request for a Forza 3 Money Mod, usually there are 1 or 2 guys every week that dont mind modding it for you. The tool only does money/XP/and Driver Level, but having a ton of money makes that game so much funner. If you wanted more deep mods than those you would have to look into getting a Jtag and a bunch of other stuff.

No dice. It looks like asking for that is against their forum rules, but not ours. If you renew the monthly fee, could you please send me a pm?

Ya I might next month.....also check out http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/forum/75-game-rips-saves/

There are a few people currently modding money on there

Thanks. I found a saved game that I like, is there a way to change the console ID and file details so it matches my original profile? Or do I need to just upload a saved game to it, and kindly ask somebody to change it for me?

  11. On 360 you can mod your save with Horizon, though you have to pay 5 bucks a month to use it, Be careful about spending online though I.E. Auction House, I got banned from online play the other day after a few months giving away billions of credits.....if you dont know how to mod your save I can post a little TuT on it.

I don't really play online, so it is a non issue.

I got my saved game, and I can get it open to edit in Modio. Only thing is: I don't know where to change what. If you have time, I would love a turorial please.

Did you extract you save using USB Xtaf Xplorer??? Also Modio doesnt have a mod tool for Forza 3. Only Horizon on XboxMB.com has the Forza tool, I would mod it for you but my month that I payed for has expired....

Yes, I did. Thanks anyway =(

Is there anyone else who would be willing to mod it for me? I am 16, no credt card, and my parents won't let me get the program. I would be grateful if anyone could do this for me.

Can you tell me the point of this? Why even play the game, honestly?

Because I enjoy tweaking cars and messing with their settings rather than racing against opponents.

    It's all preference =P

  14. What is a good xbox 360 controller emulator / recorder?

I have forza 3 for the xbox 360. I basically just enjoy dinking around with the cars in it, tuning them, etc. I found the money cheat, and it works - but I was wondering if there is anything that will let me record keystrokes, button presses, etc from the controller so I don't have to keep entering the cheat over and over and over and over.

I tried searching google, but I was wondering if anyone of you knows of anything. I don't even care if it needs a usb-usb cable for my computer, and the program is on my computer. I just want something.

  15. impala ss or chevy caprice

    ^^this

^^^ This could find some cheap only think the 96's came with Sticks

Also don't know your price range, pontiac G8 are a possibility not sure about the trunk space though, i know GTO are non existent. maybe a camaro(new/old) or firebird

Sorry for leaving it out *facepalm*

Budget is <6k for car (other $$$ set aside for audio)

  16. impala ss or chevy caprice

    ^^this

The impala is fwd / auto

The caprice is rwd / auto

I would be more willing to give up an maual trans for a rwd car.

How much effort is it to build a box inside the trunk of a mustang? Assemble everything with screws, cut holes, etc... Then take it apart, apply glue, and screw, all inside the trunk?

  17. I would like to put either 2 15s(preferred) or 2 12s in the back of a car...

Criteria is basically: Used, stick shift, rwd, seats 4+, and has trunk space. Turbo would be great, but is fine either way.

I know that loud music =/= 0-60 performance. But being able to step on the gas and have a car start flying puts just as big of a smile on my face as does rear view mirror breaking amounts of bass.

Why not have the best of both worlds?

    Any suggestions?
