the port is 42.5x5 and 17.5 long...i know i need to do more bracing but wat i need to figure out is how much i need to cut the port down too..to bring my frequency higher

the whole inside is glassed and the top is double baffled... box is all 3/4 mdf

the box is 29deep, 24 height, and 44 wide and i have one 2x4 goin top to bottom between the subs

so does anybody know how much i should cut the port down to bring the frequency higher?

if i go down to 8cu ft isnt that gunna be way to small...they recommend a minimum of 5cubes for each sub... and the port is 42.5x5x17.5

ok well now that we've found my problem can anybody design me a new box that will actually be tuned at 34hz or whatever FI recommends

ive already tried that...setting lpf higher and i played a 50-20hz sweep....thats where i got my scores from at 40hz i only did like a 143 or something

ive tried turning the frequency up with no different results. i have a 2004 gmc envoy... i did a 146.6 at 34hz... as i tried going higher with the freq burpin test tones my score was going down... it did a 145.3 at 30hz

box is tuned to 34hz and low pass is set at 60hz

well pretty much the title explains it. i built a box for my 2 18in BTLs ...subs up, port along the bottom facing to the rear of my truck. its 11cu ft at 34hz.... i dont know what i might have did wrong but im not happy with it...sound wise and on the meter..(146.6 on the TL) so im comin to you guys to help a brother out. my dimensions are 44wide, 24 height, doesnt really matter how deep.. i want to do swappable ports to so i can burp them at local comps. maybe its just me being used to 12s or its my box but i hate not having bass on every song...just seems like it only picks up the real low notes and nothin higher
