i do. they are all the same basically. Compare them. It's all black and white....they probably all get their info from the same place. Unless you are talking about some really shitty site. Most the larger more relevant sites are the same.

Some trolls might try to tell me that car audio is a waste of time and money. I should do more productive things with my time. Well 9 years after i started uploading, i am still charting with the biggest channels out there. I still have 30 million more video views than Jay Leno's Garage even though he has 4 times more subscribers. Cheverolet don't even want any....and Toyota, Audi etc aren't even on my radar. So if you love what you do, it isn't a waste of time. Especially if you are a YT partner. I have been since 2007. Back in the day i was #2 and #3 for a few years straight. Over time i lost some ground and dropped to like 8, then 10th etc....but YT also grew 1000x bigger. So to still be where i am at ain't too bad. anyhow, it has been a long time since i have even looked at my stats. Here is a little "insight" for people to understand just how big my YT channel has grown. Still #20 most subscribed and #19 Most viewed in all of automotive. A little video showing how the podium was made. Also, for those that aren't familiar with molex plugs, they are really handy when you know you will need to detach something that has multiple wires on it. Watch and learn how to make a 12 pin detachable plug while i make some progress on the DGAF

wow guys, in about a month, we are going to be celebrating 9 YEARS as a car audio forum! We have been growing since day one!! To me, a lot of you are like brothers. What made you choose this head unit? Really never used kenwood since late 90's. Any features that stand out? i needed a single din deck for my 91' tercel and my 90 accord. I called up my local distributor and asked if they had anything. He had these on sale so i bought them. These days it don't matter to me at all. They are ALL cheap and they all work just as good as the next brand really...so it should work fine. thanks!

I decided to use a Pac LC-1 just in case i need to turn the bass down or in case i need to roll in slow. At 18v, @.35 ohms, i might need to roll in. I also decided i needed a kill switch to shut the bass amps off in case well, they need to be shut off. LOL. It will be nice to have if the 9.0k's go into protect. I can reset them a lot faster this way. I would put it up top but i ran out of room. I could put it next to the knob but the knob is in the center.....which means this thing would have to be to the right or left and make it look crooked. So the side was what i decided on. good news! i made the tripod work! bad news...i owe the wife a tripod. LOL that's all for now! With the source unit, 4 channel, electrical, cooling fans, podium and all that stuff finished, i can move forward to the cabin and work on the mids and highs. Then some acoustics...try to gain some DB. This is one milestone i NEEDED to finish to move forward!

Even though i clearly DGAF, we still soldered mostly everything. my boy CoolAid came by and dropped off a few tickets to the Rittz show coming up. YEEEEE. Before i can build the Molex plugs, i need to make sure all this stuff works. Man it is UGLY! but temporary I decided to use a 12 pin Molex plug to make it detachable so i can remove it and store it when not in use. There is a lot more than positive and negative going on inside of this podium so i knew i would need a good sized plug to get it done. The largest i had available in my shop was a 12'er so i used it. 12 male and 12 female "pins" on each side were crimped, soldered and pushed into position. These pins were individually crimped and soldered.

So knowing that i probably won't drive this car at all, and being mostly an SPL car, i figured there was no need to put the deck in the dash. I decided on a podium so i can control from the outside of the vehicle. This empty XS Power D2400 display should work good. I was going to make something more complicated until i remembered that this is the DGAF car! I don't wanna spend too much time on it. But even that said, i still spent a good amount of time on this because that is my nature. I was going to do this on the side to retain the look of the top of the battery...but it isn't deep enough to do that. So time to carve a hole in the top. Believe it or not, this part was a BITCH! SMD TM-1 © on the left will monitor the XS Power step down modules. It will also kick on fans mounted on the heat sinks to cool those down. It also kicks on 4 more fans that bring fresh air into the trunk. The middle is the SMD VM-1 to monitor the 12v side of the car. The right side is an SMD VM-1hv to monitor the 16v battery bank.

ill have info soon...in fact i am going to start selling them! I will take great care of SMD members on those! hang tight i will announce soon!

So me and my son took out the carpet and added a 7" half round to the port opening. At first, i gorilla taped it. It blew right the hell out. Then i screwed it in with 3 large screws. It ripped itself clean off of the screws. So i got some washers and about the 2nd burp, it blew it off with the washers as well leaving large holes LOL....But anyhow, before that happened, i gained about .7 db and finally broke a 60.2 at the dash! Forget the scores though, this thing just destroyed the F##k out of the windshield This is a UBL (uninterrupted build log) - no comments (other then my own) and JUST pics!
