  1. for the past month straight i have been re-drawing everything i make. From modding them to improving what is already there, it all got touched. My tool paths are now improved (on the cnc end) so they get made more efficiently, barely touching my spoil boards if at all! I have actually been using HDPE as a option) since almost day one but since i was never thrilled with how it looked once milled. HDPE takes practice! You have to know what you are doing or it will be a nightmare. I have it down pretty good now! That being said i am happy to say the best is here! im using HDPE “Playboard” which is almost the same as “Starboard”, but made for playground use. It comes in several colors. It isnt cheap but i love it! In this thread i will be randomly posting pics if some of the stuff ive been doing for 2020!

  2. What's this? a QR-2? Double up the power! 5,000 watts! These can take more but of course i have to rate them appropriately for people who get a little overzealous and try to put 10k amp on one.. For burping, it will work. For music, unless it's real dynamic, you should stick with the rated power. For now.  I will be re-testing these to see if they can take even more power now with the new design. :)

Here is just one of MANY MANY color combo's...the first one off the table.

  4. If you are familiar with my original design you might also be familiar with the QR-1. As i spent the last three weeks revising, re-designing and re-working tool paths for every thing i make.. this was for sure on my list.

First off, the base material is now HDPE "Playboard"...which is just a fancier version of Starboard.  The texture is a little different. And you can lick it without bacteria growing on it :D .  It is extremely strong, won't break. It won't leak either.  Also i added a nice pull strap so people could actually remove it. With 4 N52 Neo Magnets face to face on each other, it makes it very hard if you don't have the right technique. This works well.  Also, the other major change is you can now use any wire you choose.  Instead of our wire soldered and sealed in place you can use whatever you like.  10ga OFC from Skyhigh fit's perfect though!  a 5/16" x 18 set screw holds the wire in very tight!  These will also be available in copper. I am waiting on the materials to arrive as i type :)

  5. after not listening to the truck for a day or 2, i got into it and went out with the wife.  I got a non-ear fatigued taste of how it sounds.  I LOVE IT.  These Reference 6.3's sound AWESOME!! That is STILL with no tuning other than setting the gains. Still completely flat.  I hope to analyze it and do some basic tuning to it soon. It don't need much though.

I HIGHLY recommend this set!  Even the lower, "more affordable" B2 Audio components sound great, that is why i keep using them. But these....WOW! That is all i can say.  Happy so far!

@meade916 Steve how do the B2 Audio ISX 6.1 compare to the JL C2-650 components?  I want to switch my JLs out for something with a little more crispness and clarity.

i would worry more about your ability to make what you have sound good than the actual brand.  If they don't have "crispness and clarity"...no offense brotha but that is on you (or your installer).  :)
