the ports are a MONUMENTAL waste of material. BUT...the 1.25" piece of MDF i have is already ruined from water damage on one end of it. If you look you can see what i am talking about. So i decided to chew it up with this stacked port. It looks like 2 rectangle ports, and they mostly are, but being stacked allowed me to also give them a different shape. They have little 45's in the inside corners built in. They look kinda cool in person. This box used up SOOOO MUCH wood it is ridiculous. Here is what it looks like from one day of cutting. That 3/8" upcut router bit ain't no joke, it is HUNGRY! lol I decided to do a skeleton type stiffening system (bracing) and then attach those to each other via another brace. The entire box except the top and bottom will have it. I STILL am not done yet but this is the direction i am going.

i don't go to shows as much not because i don't want to "deal" with them. I honestly don't want to accidentally see one. Because if i do i don't know i will be able to control myself. I value my freedom and my money more than that. These jokers and antagonizers have nothing to lose. I remember being at a really big show a few years back and wanting to punch this punk ass shit talker right in his ugly face when he walked by with that smug cowardly look on his lips. But my ISF was parked inside the building being shown and i was a guest of the people i was with. I almost threw up in my mouth because i wanted to give that dickhead a piece of my mind. I had to make some hard choices that i prefer not to have to make. Again, i value my freedom and i don't want to get sued. But yes, i do isolate myself as much as i can because i don't really want to be in the company of a lot of the people that go to shows. 99% are good people and we have always had a great time. But i have learned that you cannot trust them all. I learned the hard way more than once. thanks though man i appreciate it. -

funny part is, to some it looks like a LOT of haters. And it is. But it really isn't. I have hundreds of thousands of great comments by great people and only a handful, probably like .01% out of all the people are fucking assholes. They just stand out in the crowd because of the vile things that they say. Then they sometimes catch my attention and all hell breaks loose making it look real bad. But honestly the ratio of friends/fans/equals/my peep's to trollshit's like those guys is way in my favor. It's what happens when you get hundreds of millions of video views and website hits. E-fame (if you can call it that) is really no fun. Unless you monitize. Then it's no fun, but you get paid to be abused. lol -

no worries and you think it boils your blood? shitttt. Like i said, i'm over here minding my own business, playing some BF1 and bling, someones like "check this out". I don't even go looking for this stuff, i know it's out there, but i don't go looking for it. It comes to me. Even when i avoid it. I never get a chance to defend myself because if i say one fuckin' word i will end up battling these guys all night long. At the end of the day, they all know every detail about me but at the end of the next 12 minutes, i don't even remember this conversation. LOL -

i edited out your comment about JP. That wasn't the point of this post and wasn't really very nice. That's the kinda shit you see on those very groups i hate. Lets try to be nice even if you do feel some type of way about someone. K? But it's so true (the other stuff). If you start shit, there might be some shit. If you don't i promise there won't. I don't get people. -

looks like i gave two goofball's the fame they wanted. Hope they enjoy it. Spend the next 10 years talking about me and much like the rest of the world, i still don't know who you are. why did i feel the need to respond to this here? well because i have no way to defend myself. They can hate me all they want, fuck 'em, but the lying out of their ass so they can make more FB pals is a load of crap. And if they want to read what i just said, i will at least get the hit on my page for it. Go ahead, post the link, tell all your friends how i responded to your vile comments. Talk about me some more i need the traffic. -
i understand some people don't like how i handle troll tards. I have been handling them for years. Ive been nominated for awards for my comebacks. But one thing i have never done is START TROUBLE. Ill gladly finish it. But i never start it. One more thing i don't do. I don't go off on people because they "don't agree" with me. I will go off on you if you run your coward ass mouth like a little bitch (and always unprovoked) towards me. Never in my life have i ever "copped an attitude" with someone for not "agreeing" with me. That's such bullshit. I DOG SHIT on trolls. You start shit, i finish it. You will never in your life find a post where i took the first shot. Fuck these guys. Oh and the lying motherfucker talking about how i "shot someone down and then stole their idea"...that is some NUTTY talk. The NUTTY talk among the COWARDLY talk. I don't even have a clue what he is talking about. Anyhow, See the post little boy "Roy" posted? I would tell that guy to fuck off right back but then it would be me copping an attitude for not agreeing with him. You know, "constructive criticism". But i am not a member of that lame ass group. God damn i swear car audio groups are so full of ratchet ass, shit talking WOMAN it is pathetic. I am over here minding my own business not saying shit to anyone and i get a screen shot showing these losers spending half the night talking about me. SMH I have never spoken to anyone like they were beneath me. EVER. I mean, if you run your mouth you might get the exact same attitude back. I have never spoken one word to this loser. I don't know who he is. I seen his goofy face on FB though just now. What a WEIRDO. Creep-o-meter off the charts. If you have "a question in general" i will get "nasty for no good reason"? what a dumb ass!!! please, PLEASE / <<<<this to yourself. Such BS. I hate liers and crybaby story tellers. Shout out to Colton, he know's whatsup though.

the box is: 18.xx ft3 (ID) before displacement. The ports are 75" Each and iirc i think i they will be at least 15" long. The stacks are made of 1.25" MDF each so i am starting with 12 of them. Again, i am doing more bracing and NONE of what you see is glued, screwed or tattoo'd yet. It's all a house of cards about to fall over any second now. I will start gluing and shit as soon as i decide the direction i am going to go from here. I don't think i am doing an acrylic window this time. I just want it to be a really nice box that bangs. Perhaps i will sell it someday when i am through with it. Stay tuned!
-
i am not done with the stacked ports yet. They are made of 1.25" MDF and there will be 12 or more total on each side. The box is supposed to be tuned to about 32hz. I could easily tune it way lower but i don't want this box to miss out on some of the upper bass frequencies. Also, i am NOT DONE bracing this thing yet. I wanted to build the bulk of it and then decide from there what i was going to do to make it sturdy. It is already sturdy the way it sits but i will do more for sure. Stay tuned!

i had stuff to do today but i managed to cut the bottom piece. The bucket holding this thing up gives you an idea just how big this box is. 18ft3 before displacement. The 24" subs and the 2 large ports will chew up some of that for sure. And no, it isn't glued or nailed together yet. It is a big house of cards right now. Just mocked up to make sure my pieces are good

I have some ideas. I have a box designed. We've been EXTREMELY busy lately. I barely had time after a long day of working today to toss some MDF on the CNC and cut out the first baffle. If all go's well, i will post more pics. I am not 100% sure the direction i am going so i want to wait until it starts to come together a little bit before i show more. I will be using 1" and also some 1 - 1/4" MDF.

If you don't like rap, this really isn't a post for you. But if you do, especially bay area rap, you came to the right place. B-Legit showed up at Chicken Hill yesterday to get on another track but before he got in the booth, he got in Chickens caddy (the hoopty). I promised him i wouldn't turn it up too loud....so this isn't a traditional "bass demo". I turned it up loud enough to grab your attention, but sound nice and smooth at the same time. Clean, and on autopilot. Just let it play. It was really dope to see him go through some of his songs on the in-dash ipad :D Oh ya, ChickenHill part 2 coming out soon! They have been working on it a lot lately. It will have lots of west coast all-stars on it just like the last one.

My son got his 2006 Lexus IS350 about a week or so ago and the first thing we noticed while still at the car lot was that the paint needed help bad. It is in good shape but it was very rough. Didn't feel as though it has had any wax on it in a long time. I think the first day he brought it home he already made an appointment for paint correction and of course some C-Quartz ceramic coating. I missed most of the application so don't have much of that in my video. But it looks so good i had to post something about it here is a video from my sons channel that has more to it than mine does

we have been absolutely SWAMPED at the shop for going on 2 months straight. I have not had a chance to make video's as much as i would like to. I also want to build some more boxes, particularly the 24" subs i just got. But the CNC machine is always booked up. I don't have a lot of time to do any editing today so i decided just to go raw with an episode of Amp Test Tuesday. Live on Youtube Here is the CT Sounds on the SMD D'Amore Engineering AD-1 Amp Dyno - Tested up to 1% Distortion (Certified) and up to clipping (uncertified)

Last week my son bought himself an older, yet very clean Lexus IS-350. He did exactly what a lot of us do, he started working on his Yukon and now he can't take it anywhere because it is a target for thieves. Hard to take it to the movies with all that gear sitting in the parking lot. So he wanted to get a car he could drive and not worry too much about. So he chose the 350...Anyway, he got it with no help from me, although i was there for support and i WOULD have co-signed if need be. I didn't have to. They approved him on the spot. He put down a nice chunk of cash and they gave him a good deal and percentage rate for a first time buyer. He has done a few things to it but one thing he eyeballed right away was my stock ISF wheels up in the attic. I actually suggested it if he wanted to. He isn't known to say no to my hammy-downs They are still actually MINE but he can roll on them until he gets something he really wants. They look a lot better though! Can't complain about the mostly new Pilot-sport tires either

I can't say exactly what it is, i can't say what i did YET. I basically got summoned to shoot a scene for a commercial for a very well known brand. I wish i could share details but i promised i wouldn't. When it comes out, i will show more behind the scenes type pictures. I just got home after being gone 4 days. It was definitely an experience. Real Hollywood film industry type of shit. Ive never seen anything like it. It was fun to witness! All expenses paid (Air-fare, Transport, hotel and Ubers) and i got a nice check too . Feels good to be home! After discussing the "project" for about 3 weeks, i got a phone call. They said, "can you come on short notice"...i said "sure". They said see you in 2 days. LOL. If you follow my instagram page http://www.instagram.com/meade916 or my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SteveMeadeDesigns you would have seen what happened when this guy pulled my truck up on to this trailer. I was disappointed and highly worried about my Tahoe the entire time, especially if you see what happened to it right out of the gate. Even though these people are taking GREAT care of me and really no expenses spared type of thing, getting the vehicle shipped out with 1 day notice is very had to do. If we had a week advance notice from the directors, i KNOW they would have gotten me a much better transport. But i am a trooper and i let it go. Said a midnight, wholesome, dinner time prayer (LOL) and watched it roll away. The sketchiest thing i have ever witnessed and allowed myself to do. LUCKY for me, it made it to it's destination. Halfway through the trip, i remembered my ipad Pro in the dashboard. I decided to start tracking my Tahoe with "find my ipad" app. LOL. It worked great. I even got to see it spend the night in a fucking TRUCK STOP PARKING LOT while he blew Z's up into the sky from a warm motel bed. I almost threw up. But again, it made it so i can now speak on it The production assistant really was helpful. She drove it from the trailer to the studio lot and facetimed me the whole time. I was able to see my suspension (bag) pressure, my voltage, and everything else while she pulled it in to it's spot (which was only about 50 feet away). It spent the night behind a guarded gate with Ivy on it (can't see in). So i felt better from this point on. I was set to fly in the next day and meet up with her. Stalker status level 4. I could see down to the parking spot next to the guard shack and i knew it was safe. Time to take flight. They got me the A seat's (business class) round trip which is nice! The only way i like to fly. It ain't first class but you get on and off the plane first! See ya later Sactown! I was kinda in shock walking out of the plane and onto the tarmac LOL. Burbank Airport is old and outdated crap. BUT, it is fast and there wasn't very much traffic in the area. As long as the PLANE is good i'm not bitching. And it was! the place i spent 3 1/2 days watching the coolest shit i have seen in a long time. These people are amazing at what they do. They took my seat out to fit objects in place not to mention equipment. Ill tell ya what it is for when that time comes. Oh there is the plate the first transport driver ripped off the vehicle as he was loading it up....CRUNCH. UHHHGGGG.... Sun finally poked out from the hazy LA sky. Spy pic. Cool shit. I wish i could show more. So amazing... she performed well but was highly molested. They said they would detail it for me when i get home though so i ain't mad at that! a SOLID paycheck for a lot of standing around, a lot of observing, and a little of me doing what i do...what they asked me down to do. As promised, they got me a MUCH better transport vehicle (and a GREAT driver) for the trip back. Showed up at 8am, made me feel 100% safe and pulled out. a NICE 40 footer will do. I will see my Tahoe sometime early tonight and pull her back into the shop and call it one of the funnest 4 days i have had in a while! I have gotten to do some really dope shit in my life just because of BASS. I will update this post with more details once the project is on the air!
