how's your voltage.....as long as I stay above 13v or so I'm good

aren't you suppose to also let it sit not charging and disconnected from other batteries for 24hrs before checking resting voltage? at least ive seen that mentioned somewhere on this forum.
12.5 is good imo, better then non agm batts that sit around 12.2-12.4

The 2 alts running the 16v with a stock for the rest is the way to do it, no stepdown modules to mess with.
Idk I always hear a lot more problems with 16v vs 12v setups.
Either way would work and be good really

belt wont really slip at freeway speeds....shouldn't be charging that low, probably an alternator problem especially since you're saying the belt was tight
