  1. Pass thru meaning slave right? I want to say yes it has a slave out. Won't that be bad for the kicker amp tho?
  2. ok thank you.... what is a decent processor.... a bit more than budget friendly. nothing cheap quality. thank you guys. I am learning and these 10s are molded into the backseat panels so why not use them.
  3. i was trying to figure out if i Y it or not. the subs are 4 ohms both 10's and 15's
  4. just for a FYI. I have a 96 ford probe gt these are going in. i have 2 10"s in the back panels where the 5x7's would be, I have the 2 15"s in the trunk. I am wanting to run the 2 10"s off the kickers 750.1 amp and the 2 15"s off the aq1200 amp. I am going to be running 2 sets of Alpine SPR-17s in the front door off the Kicker 350.4 amp. My head unit I have is an Alpine iDA-x305s and it has the 6 channel output on it. So I should just "Y" off the sub RCA's for the amps for the subs? running the 750 slave to the 1200 would damage the amp??? any great help would be awesome for this. thank you guys again so much!
  5. i have an aq1200 amp for the 15"s a kicker 750.1 amp for the 10"s and a kicker 350.4 for the spr's
  6. i have 2 tens molded in the rear panels and the 15's are in the trunk. i am going to run the 15's to the aq1200 in 2 ohms and the 10's to either 4omhs or 2 ohms(indecisive) all subs are dvc and they have seperate amps.
  7. I am trying to hook up 2 amps for subs and 1 amp for mids and highs. I am running 2 15" off a aq1200 2 10" subs off a 750.1 and 2 sets of spr-17s off a 350.4.... i am trying to figure out how to run the 2 sets of subs? I have an Alpine iDa-X305 head unit. thank you for your help
  8. Its times like this that make you remember how small and innocent ones life is and how precious it can be! Congrats Steve, to you and family for this wonderful gift given the opertunity of life! You all are blessed!
  9. took it over to have it tuned at a local shop here in town.... i wish i had an oscope like they do and it would save me some cash in the long run...
  10. ok I have upgraded the wiring and now still stuck.... people are saying 2 batteries people are saying do an alt.... i am confused on what to do with this as when i start hitting lows my power drains while running to 11.3 v..... I haven't ran the system hard since I seen it drain that much. batteries or alt? Mechman makes one for my car and is 560 out the door.
  11. ok... will upgrade my wiring tomorrow. Will do 0 gauge wiring for those... thank you ....... So get 2 batteries instead of an alt? Your vehicle runnings off the alt once it is running. Why wouldnt you change it to a higher current?
  12. upgraded what wiring??? i am running factory excluding the power, ground, amps, radio, speakers, and a battery
  13. ok.. will do that first time tomorrow. What about wiring? any kind of upgrade needed during installing a high output alt?
  14. I have a 2006 Kia Specta with a 2.0 auto trans. My system I have right now is 4 type r 12"s with 2 Alpine MRP-1000 amps and 1 MRP-f300.. I have having severe issue with my voltage dropping down to 11.3 while running the vehicle. I was wondering who may have an ALT for my car and what is needed to install it... If it is a plug and play? upgrade any kind of wiring or anything? I am clueless with the alternater part of the build. Thank you
  15. i do plan on using the 3 extra jl audio 500/1 amps and looking to getting 3 more type r 12's. with the kiddies i ment my childrens. right now the bass is amazingly loud! i was quite shocked for that my last system was years ago and was 3 bostwich hd 8;s with a jl 250/1 amp! with upgrading the wirings i was going to source a 1/0 wire hoping from the misses or a friend.....
  16. will doing them all ported make it ridiculous on bass??? not looking to over power the mids and highs i do like to listen to the lyrics too. I like listening to all music and the occassional kiddies songs when they ride with me.
  17. I have 3 more 500/1 JL Audio amps looking to get 3 more Type R 1242 subs and a friend said he had a 300/4 amp but think a channel was bad that he would give me.... I am wanting to hook it all up..... the plexiglass would only be for a piece of the enclosure. just enough to show off the inside some. a friend of my said he would spray the inside with that rhino stuff for free. I have contacted a few places for a 220amp alternator for price comparison.... plan to upgrade that to. i love bass but i love to hear the music too!!! would sealed be best? I have the 1 12 right now in a 33hz tune ported enclosure.
  18. Check this out. I have been out of the loop with systems for a bit now.... Sold off my ricer after getting tired of every honda reving thier engine wanting to race and bored and starting to get back into the stereos. I am trying to understand some of this and just amazed with what has evoled over about 8 years or more! I am looking for great sound and not just the DB aspect of it anymore. Also trying to learn about what will and won't be apropreate. my questions are due to my disability and richness of pocket lint! 1: sound dampening material. what is a good way to go for the price? I have looked into this and seems to be out of reach for what I am looking to spend. 2: type of box. Since last i seen boxes they have changed as well.... not that much but have seen different materials used. I would like to use some plexiglass myself and wondering what thinkness is needed. 3: how to run multi amps 1 bass knob. Now I am far from stupid of this material but not so smart either. I am learning all this on a wing and looking at Meade's work and amazed with all this!!! What I am working with in the car for your idea so I don't leave you in the cold is: Alpine iDa-X200 Alpine Type R SPR-17s in front doors Alpine Type R SPR-17c in rear deck Alpine Type R 1242 Sub JL Audio 500/1 slash series JL Audio 300/4 Slash Series Monster Cable 402 XLN Xtreme for Sub Monster Cable 404 XLN Xtreme for 4 channel 4 gauge power wire(donated from friend) love that same for ground. Thank you for your help and all info....
